Edge Evo (Newbie Questions)
Thanks again.
It was getting dark as I was setting it all up, and was far more concerned about getting it working and the tire/gear ratios selected then anything else! I'll read more on the manual tonight after work.
Thanks!

Awesome! I will follow that procedure and get my Hex (just to ensure its diff) although it must be just fine, since the tune loaded and its driving/running just fine.
Thanks for the help!!!!
Thanks for the help!!!!
Unplugging it with the key off or on is not a problem. You do need to have the key on when you plug it in.
To dim the screen, you hit the down button several times, to increase the light, hit the up button.
Did you get a manual with it? If not, you can go to Edge's web site and print one off.

Thanks for the info.
Like I said, I did get the manual and I read the set-up and how to change the tire/gear size. I glanced over the rest about how to pick what you wanted on the display and got the color changed to where I wanted it.
Thank you both for your help! This site rocks!

mxzeatr, I've had my new edge just over a week and i too drove the first 50 miles ot so in dead silence, first not leaving the subdivision, then a quick trip into town, then finally to work the next day!! I have only used level 1 tranny mode but i am pleased with the results. maybe this weekend i'll grow a set and try level 2!!!
i'll keep everyone posted on te results.

i'll keep everyone posted on te results.I drove 200 miles north today with great results. I hadn't gotten after it, but had to to pass a truck that was going slow. Holy cow was I impressed. The throttle lag is nearly gone, and it pulls pretty darned hard compared to stock! I'm impressed! I'm running level 2.
I think that I need to turn the shift firmness down a little bit, as its a bit firm for my liking and I've got a 500lb snowmobile in the back. So...I filled up after 200 miles into a headwind and got 15.5mpg, I'd say thats at least 1mpg better then I've done the same trip with before same sled etc...
Thank you all for your help! I'll continue to play!
You can get your hex code by going to [Diagnostics] -> [Tech Support] -> [Version Info] You'll probably see a warning message you can ignore. The hex code will be on the Version Info page or the one you see right after that when you press [Enter].
To change the brightness, just use the Up or Down arrows while looking at a screen display. The default setting is 100% bright. Each press of an arrow changes it by 10%. I don't recall if it "remembers" the new brightness setting though, but I suspect it does.
Edit: And, I see the question was actually answered already in a couple of previous posts - oh well, I should read more carefully. At least both answers are together here.

Jack,
No problem at all! I'll gladly take all the info and help that I can!
Still loving the tune so far. Just 'unloaded' the truck today, so will drive it tomorrow on level 2 without a load. Curious to feel the difference with my seat dyno!
Thanks guys!
