edge upgrade issues

hello...i recently bought an edge evolution and tried to plug and play to my truck and it will not work....ive had my 2004 5.4 fx4 upgraded to the latest and greatest ford updates at the dealership prior to buying my edge,,,,i was told to go to the edge website and download the lightning software and this should fix the problem.....i did this and i cant seem to figure out how to actually download this to the edge unit......if anyone has info on this or can help please let me know......thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure Edge uses "Fusion" now to upgrade the firmware in their Evolutions. I believe you simply install Fusion on your PC, start it and then plug your Edge into the PC.

Hmmm. Let me see. I have an Edge product and I want to update it.

In today's techno-vanced world, the easiest and cheapest thing to do (usually) is to go to the manfacturer's website and look for words like "CUSTOMER SUPPORT", "UPDATES", or "DOWNLOADS"...

Well I'll be damned. IT WORKS AGAIN!

http://www.edgeproducts.com/index.php leads me to this one:

http://www.edgeproducts.com/product_updates.php

and to this one:

http://www.edgeproducts.com/customer...le.php?csak=34

I'll bet they even have a manual in PDF format (if you need it).

Did this help or do you have another question we can answer today?
