Arrow Edge with high flow cats??

Don't know if i should post this in here or the exhaust section, but i've done a few searches and didn't quite find what i was looking for.

I currently have an '08 4.6 with just a 40 series flowmaster SI/DO and an edge evolution. Can i safely run high flow cats without needing custom tunes? Could i run true duals without needing custom tunes(x-pipe to DI/DO or 2 SI/SO's)?

I know you can get away with a CAI better w a 4.6 than a 5.4 (So I've heard..) so i was wondering if this was the same case with exhaust.

Any info on this would help a ton! Thanks guys.

hi flows and true duals do not require custom tunes-long tube headers and the o2 sensors being moved do.

Good Morning! How are you today? I hope you are going to have a nice day!

No sir. Both now use slot syle MAF's, so both are affected the same way by full CAI's that alter the configuration of the venturi in the vicinity of the MAF.

You are fine with just exhaust changes of the sort you describe - stock manifolds....

Tanks & Cheers!

First of all, MGD, you feelin alright?

Also, high flows do, however, require moving the o2 sensor to behind the cat, right? So this won't be okay with the edge?

Lol so what's the answer, can i do it or not? Haha, conflicting answers aren't helpin'!

The o2 sensors do get moved with high flow cats. So will this be okay or not?

I have an 08 5.4 with Bassani stainless exhaust. It is set up as true duals. Also Volant CAI, no problems. Good luck with yours..................

lol really? i've read so often these mods cause you to run lean/rich, depending on what the mods are. i'm guessing lean with a CAI.

but i'm not planning on one of those til i can afford custom tunes. thanks man, should have them on end of march, i need new tires first haha.
