If you went over to PHP's forum then you probably saw my on-going thread about this exact subject. I'm still awaiting what Bill can do to resolve it. ]ackandJanet and myself where just talking about what intakes might not cause drone, and he speculated possibly the banks, but I guess we can mark through that idea now 
What all modifications do you have? Its my understanding my 'drone' is not helped by some of my modifications (exhaust, heavy tires, tall gears, etc..) I noticed both the banks and S&B have plastic tubes, and what I'd call irregularly shaped tubes, Bill had said he has luck in getting rid of drone in certain constant diameter, metal/aluminum tubed intakes; again this might be a moot issue if your like me and your modifications don't help the drone/performance issue...

Anything that would raise the rpms in these speed regions might eliminate/reduce the drone.

I was worried bout the drone i was getting from the canned tunes running lvl 2 on my gryphon. I just got my custom tunes yesterday and the drone is gone! I would definitely say to go custom. I talked to Bill thursday nite cause I was concerned bout it and he took care of it. Like others have mentioned just give him a call and he'll be able to give you more info.
but I have a feelin it WILL get annoying
...if I send it for its gryphon conversion will the drone most likely go away?????

evo on level 2 with afe intake and the drone is killing me. its only at 1800-2000 rpms if im cruising. which so happens to be about 65-70 mph where i drive on the freeway. I need something to make this stop!
