Edge VS Hypertech What Programmer?

I am debating a chip for my truck.

I dont really care how fast my 0-60 times are or if I can light up my tires I just want to gain a little MPG Back.

I currently get 13 MPG even with my
2005 F-150 4x4 5.4 2.5 Level Kit with 20" Moto 951 and 32" Nitto Terras Dual Exhaust and Gotts Mod

I have looked at the Edge Evo and the Hypertech Econ as well as superchips.

Has anyone seen a true gain in MPGS from any chip made for our trucks?

All input is appreciated as I said if I can gain a true 1-2MPGS I will get one if not I truly dont care about shift firmness and being able to go 120mph haha

Thanks

Well I highly recommend the edge if you have a stock truck. I'm not sure about a mpg increase; as you can see my truck has no clue what mpg's are

That said, I would look into PHP custom tunes. You get the gryphon w/ custom tunes for near the same price as the edge. Bill can write you econ tunes specifically for gas mileage, and you could get a performance tune (I highly recommend ) for when you feel the need to have fun! I'm contemplating getting an econ tune as my gas mileage is pretty rough with the performance tunes, and my mods to the truck.

As I've posted several times in this forum, I'm convinced I gained 1.5-2 MPG with my custom PHP tunes vs the stock tune.

I recently purchased the edge for my truck. its all in how you drive it. Me being 20 years old, with a 5.4 under my right foot...i was getting around 13.8 when i got on it around town, normal driving about 14.5 stock. with my edge if i just do a normal trip across town, easy 16 to 17 mpg. an the interstate....cruise control at 65 and no AC easy 25 to 26.

and the power settings are worth it too.

Every truck and driver are different and most of it depends on how heavy your foot is.

Yes it is how you drive, I have a VMP performance tune and when I drive 65 mph I get about 19 mpg with my stock 20" wheels and when I drive past 65 I get around 16 to 17 mpg. Justin also mages MPG tunes. Hope this helps.

and edge VS hypertech hyperpach would be about the same now you toss in the gryphon VS the SCT livewire you're in a whole different bal game once custom tunes come into play...

always best to find whichever custom tuned tuning device best suits your needs
