Exclamation Speed

i was wonderig when my engine would blow up. how fasti would have to be going for it to happen. i have a 01 screw wit a gryphon runnin 93 custom performance, wit a intake and magnaflow exhaust, n my tires are good up to 145. i was just wondering

Your transmission will probably go first. Your truck may be different, but I've always heard you start to get torque converter ballooning at 5400 rpm.

I've also noticed that running the truck in 2nd gear at 4000 rpm makes the transmission fluid temperature rise rather quickly - to around 220, and the oil temperature can quickly get to above 250. (This is not something I try to do on a regular basis, but I see these conditions anytime I pull my trailer up a long, steep incline (7%+ grade) for 5-6 miles and am trying to maintain 65 mph).

I wouldnt want to push a stock block/heads past 5500rpms, but with stock with a few bolt ons, you wont see any power gain from the 5000-5500 range if you tune the shifts later
