I would not recommend either one and I have a Superchips. You will hardly notice a difference with those 2. I got the Superchips off ebay cheap cause all I wanted was the ability to firm up shifts and recalibrate my speedo for bigger tires. Do some more searching and I think you will find that for the money a custom tune will be the best.

Neither, they're both equally terrible. Custom tuning or at the very least an Edge is the way to go.

Custom tuning is always the best but if you do not plan any major mods and just want a little bit more zip you can't go wrong with a 1715 from Superchips. I have one and it really helped. My truck is much more drivable overall. I have had it for years and have had no problems. Custom tuning will give you a bigger seat of the pants boost but you can find used 1715s pretty cheap these days. Just make sure it is unlocked before you buy one.

just read my new thread ("dude my truck shut off & wont start".....) and that should tell you all about hypertech.... but honestly i have learned the hard way, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CANNED TUNES!!! take the 150 you would put into a used tuner and save up the rest and get something from troyer, php, or vmp. trust me! These normally run around 400-500 (depending on what programmer from who and how many custom tunes you order) but they will be well worth it. please dont waste your money like i did.

Dude check out Diablosport predators. Their pretty awsome. But like they said if you want some good performance gains go with a custom tune from a shop.

If you haven't done so already, read the sticky at the top of this forum. I tried to answer your questions in it. My preference, like most here, is for custom tunes on a Gryphon or X3.
