*BILL* PCM reflash no cruise!!!!
recently took truck to dealer to have truck looked at for a P0451 EVAP pressure sensor range performance DTC, they couldn't find anything wrong but reflashed the PCM. luckily i had programmed EDGE back to stock before hand, now cruise control doesn't work and with edge programmed back to level 2 it seems to bog down with light throttle input. I'm stumped why the cruise would stop working and the edge is now bogging down... BTW the code is back to

figured i'd fix the code mydelf by replaceing the sensor, but nowhere has a "pressure sensor", just an evap solenoid or valve, which one would it be? still puzzled about the cruise control, did they forget to turn it back on with the reflash? and would the EVAP code cause the edge program to "bog" down on light throttle?
Regarding cruise control, have you checked your stoplights? If one is burned out (includes the 3rd brake light too), the cruise control stops working.
Having the code back tells me they didn't diagnose the problem correctly and gave you an incorrect "cure". (Something like amputating a leg when you complain to your doctor of having constant headaches).
Isn't the EVAP pressure controlled by the gas cap? (I could be dead wrong here of course, just thinking out loud).

But the reflash didn't fix the code problem and now you have a "bog down" problem. DO these things happen if the tune is returned to stock? If not, I suspect a call to Edge Tech Support is in order.
I just re-read your original post - does the cruise work with the tune at stock? If it does, I REALLY think a call to Edge is required.

JMT,
The Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor is located here under connector C435...

Basically it sits on top of the fuel tank. I don't know if you're gonna be all excited about changing that one.
Now if I understand your post correctly (and maybe Jack did and I'm wrong) then the cruise control doesn't work with or without the programmer? Or, does it not work only with the programmer?
If you don't mind, what is the HEX code for your PCM? (You can retrieve it from the [Diagnostics] -> [Tech Support] -> [Version Info] menu options.) That'll give me something to look at. If it's programmer related, it shouldn't be too hard to fix. If it's vehicle related, well... that's another matter.
In any event, I'd say a trip back to the dealer to fix their boo-boo is in order.
Let me know what you find.

thanks for all the help guys, The cruise contol was "accidently turned off" when they reflashed the pcm, and they are replacing the sensor and evap canister under emmissions warranty.
