Which Tuner??

Hey everyone, I have the 4.6l in my truck and I've been towing a 6'x12' trailer around which is pretty heavy when fully loaded. I'm looking to buy a tuner to get a little more power out of my truck for towing, but also with a setting for fuel efficiency while not towing, and another setting for a little extra speed while just hot rodding around town. I'm looking to spend about $300-$400 on a tuner with preset programs. Please reply with suggestions/ experiences. Thanks -Mike

There is about 4 tuners out there.
PHP-gryphon
VMP-xcal3
Troyer-xcal3
Daystar-xcal3

They all have performance and tow tunes. You are going togo over the 400 mark by a little. Or find an edge, its got a good generic tow tune.

What about the diablo predator? I've had a few people recommend it and it seems pretty popular on the internet.

The device is not as important as the tunes inside. Go with a reputable tuner and use the device they sell.

X2! This forum seems to have high regard for PHP, VMP and Troyer. I'd stick with that choice.

Agreed. I chose the Xcal3 custom tuned by VMP.

Check out the price for the edge at autoanything.
You can always do a conversion/upgrade to a gryphon later.

I chose the Gryphon but its going to run you $400 with stock presets and $30 every custom tune after that.
