Edge Evo Tuning

Hi everyone, I have been checking on the forum for customs settings on my Edge Evo programmer. I have a 06 Ford F150 Lariat 4x4, V8 5.4L. I have the K&N Fuel Injection kit and dual flowmasters, these were installed by the first owner. I have installed the leveling kit and Nitto Mud Grappers 33/12.5R18. I have 2 weeks trying to set the Edge Evo to what I was specting out of it. Already tried level 2 and 3 with customs settings and still not happy with it. My current settings are
Level 2
WOT Shift 1-2=5200, 2-3=5200, 3-4=4700
Firmness 1-2=+6, 2-3=+6, 3-4=+3
Rev limit 5400
Gears 3.73
Tires 2635
WOT 1.6
I would like any advise on what settings to set for my truck to have a good take off from a red light or getting into a highway.

Would the JBA shorty headers ceramic coated help improve take off??
Thanks for all the help in advance.....

As almost ALL of the people would tell you on this thread, with all the goodies you have on the truck, the only way to get truely great results from the edge is to send it to PHP and have them onvert it to a Gryphon that will be burnt to utilize and get everything out of the intake and exhaust.

No the upgrade is relatively cheap, it basically covers putting new software that is customizable and a new black cover to distinguish from the Edge color. The tunes are where the money and labor is at. Check their website for official upgrade pricing, or read about upgrades here...

From your post, I suspect you are looking for power from a standing start. The bigger tires are hurting you. Effectively, they've reduced your gear ratio to about 3.60. To get back the original OEM performance of the truck, you'd need to install 3.84 gears, and probably, you'd be happier with 4.10.

I think this is the ONLY thing that's going to give you what you're looking for. But, a tune will help some - just don't expect miracles.

I agree totally. One other thing, There needs to be a differential of 400 between the highest shift point and the Max RPM. You need to increase your max RPM to 400 above the hight shift point, which would be 5600. Either that or lower your shift points to 5000.

Also, not sure what intake you are running from your description, but any CAI and any header change require custom tunes to be safe and to get the maximum benefit. It's possible you are running a little lean if you have a K&N CAI. I would definitely convert to a Gryphon and get a couple of performance tunes from PHP.

The 3.73 gears are killing you with the big tires! Go 4.10 or 4.56.
Next is headers the shorties won't help! You need the long tubes and with them you'll need a tune.
Upgrade the edge to a gryphon and get custom tunes.

Ok i have been looking for the 4.10 gears and i came to another question. My truck is 4x4, would it be affected if i only change the rear gear or i would have to change the front to??
I called to power hungry i may be changing to gryphon soon, after i decide to change gears or not to.
Thanks

If you only do the rear...you'll only drop the hammer once. Make sure you have someone catch it on video and post it!

Skip the 4.10~ for performance ~go with 4.56 if you go off-road a lot. I ran my 4.0L Wrangler w/ 35/13.50 with 4.10 and it was just okay for crawling. 4.56 would have been much better

I see no one has answered you and I don't know the answer myself. I DO know, of course, that the gear ratio MUST be identical for the front and rear.

The link you posted says these gears are for the rear, that would make me think they won't fit the front.

Why don't you look through some of the Ford parts catalogs?
