Not happy with SCT. I had to send back my new

X3 I had purchased from Troyer to SCT due to the dealer reflashing my truck. I spoke to Jesse who stated they needed to "update" the X3 to go with my new Hex code. i asked if I would be able to use the X3 afterwards and he stated yes, no problem, just like it was shipped. I got it back, and it was not recognized. I called SCT 3 times, no return call. I called Troyer and Crystal tried to help by calling SCT. She then called me back and stated that it was too new of a reflash and that they were "not that advanced yet". Well what the hell did Jesse ask me to ship it back to them for when I gave him the new code over the phone? It cost me 17.89 to ship the damn thing only to come back with nothing done. It stated "upgraded firmware" but nothing was upgraded. The X3 shows 1.13 and Crystal stated it should be 1.15. I told her I would just rather get a refund. It has now been since early April and still no tunes on this truck.

Are you talking about the firmware for the Xcal?

you can get the firmware updates from SCT website and install them yourself?

Those darn dealers always adding more HEX code revisions to the pot. Try the link above first before you send it back.

1.) You ordered from TROYER, hello? It's not like you didn't know the wait times, you can only be mad at yourself.

2.) Did you supply your latest calibration hex to Troyer, so whenever you do get your custom tunes they will work?

3.) Crystal is incorrect. 1.13 is for the older X3 devices that support both SCT & custom tunes. 1.15 is for devices that only support custom tunes. SCT is VERY advanced and VERY good at adding the latest calibrations in the experiences I have had.

Um, excuse me but:
1. when I ordered I was told 8-10 weeks, not 3-4 months and i was told maybe another 6-8 weeks. Do YOU see the difference or do you have a problem with numbers?
2. Yes, TROYER will supply custom tunes for the new Hex code as SCT stated they are not THAT advanced for the new codes.
3. And NO, SCT TOLD Crystal they do NOT have anything as advanced as the new hex code installed on my 08.

As for the other posts, yes, I called SCt but on hold for 1 hour or more each time is pathetic so I called Troyer who called SCT on my behalf.

No, there are no updates that are on the site for the X3 canned tunes. Anything for this new "R" type hex code must be custom.

What I'm failing to understand is why is sct even involved with this?

I know it's their hand held you bought but you bought it from troyer and he is a sct rep.

The main question is why he let the dealer flash his vehicle, this would of never happened.

Before making stupid remarks, why not ask the reasons why?
1. The dealer DID NOT advise me he was going to reflash my vehicle. I bought the truck new with the condition they swap my rims from another truck. Only now after I put 18s on they see that my truck states it has 17s and thought they forgot to change the truck over to 18s when I bought it. Next time ask before you speak.
2. I called SCT because it is the 3015 model and came with 3 canned tunes. Also it would not read the vehicle after the reflash and was told by TROYER to send it back to SCT. Now, does that answer the stupid statements made to a very neutral posting?

17s to 18s. They thought they did not make the switch when I initially bought the truck so they reflashed it. As soon as he told me I knew i was screwed!

Never leave your truck at a dealership without telling them not to re-flash, & invest in a port cover also.

So who are you mad at again? It should of been Troyer's responsbility to check and verify the strategy with the SCT SF tune database.
