Excellent!

Good to know....This is why I was trying to get as much info on 5-Star as possible. The combo is pretty tempting and the delivery time is outstanding!

The only drawback is I'd prefer to have the Gryphon in the deal instead of the X3. The reason I prefer the Gryphon, is simply the dash pod and being able to display real time parameters. Otherwise, the X3 is sweet also.

The X3 can display real time parameters also, its just not mountable =/ Either way I'd rather be able to see it period then not at all.

Yes I did, he did a great job with mine. Ordered it on Saturday, shipped out Monday, received it Wednesday, and I told him my hex code, then received my tunes thursday afternoon.

Anyways, if you want good service and quick results, Id say go through him, then order the intake through another site, I ordered mine through Autoanything.com

Thanks for the info!

I know Justin is great from what I hear, and PHP and Troyer are great tuners also. I've never had such a hard time trying to figure out who to go with! hehehe

I know I can't go wrong with either of them, but if I decide to go with the Gryphon (Which is my 1st pick) I need to go through PHP and would need to wait close to ten weeks to install my CAI (5.4 3Valve)

So.....I think I just made my decision as I was typing!

Justin's my tuner!!!

Thanks Fayded

Haha, I envy the people that had the patience to wait for a Gryphon custom tuned, because I am jealous, I want a mountable tuner. Regardless though, Im completely happy with what I was sold and the amount of time it took to get the final product(tunes and all).

I know what you mean about the hard decision though, thats how I was also when I was looking into tunes. Then I got my tax refund and wanted instant gratification =p

Anyways, good luck with whatever decision you choose, and if its Justin then you will be taken very well care of, just speaking from experience at least.

Also I think alot of sites such as Autoanything, JC Whitney, Summit Racing are all having sales for this memorial day, so Im sure you can snag a S&B for even cheaper than alot of us did.

Ive been using his tunes for 6 months without any problems. They are great and service is second to none.Mike drives a 150 every day and has his own in house dyno, some tuners dont. And by the way the dyno #s on 5 stars site are from Mikes 05 150 with 90k miles with stock exhaust and intake so thats 22hp at the wheels with a tuner only!No mods.

I like it!

I got my x3 like 3 weeks ago! Its awesome, the only thing is i cant keep my foot of gas, and i running a 93 perf tune, its costing alot of money for my lead foot, and my gas mileage sucks. But otherwise Mike has been very helpful, and always gets back to my questions, and sending my revision tunes right away. I think its a good deal man, just go for it.

5 star tunning and sct x3

I just got my f150 tuned from 5 star tunning. For anyone thinking of using 5star tunning, I wouldnt hesitat at all. I have an 04 f150 drive by wire 4.6, 4x4 its the most doggy truck Ive ever driven. I purchased an sct x3 tuner and had 5star tunning write a tune for it. Now that the truck has been custom tuned by 5 star tunning its a COMPLETELY NEW TRUCK!!! It has alot more power and excelent throttle response. If I had known about 5 star tunning and the sct x3 tuner, and the difference it would make I would have had the truck tunned yrs ago. 5 star tunning did an excelent job! Mike Butler was completly helpful, he walked me through the whole process with ease. I have contacted several different tuners, some were to buisy or not very helpful, some were a little expensive. Mike Butlers was helpfull and experienced and he did a great job without breaking my wallet Love the tune. I would definatly use him again

I ordered a x3 from Mike a year and a half ago. No troubles what so ever. Really woke the truck up. I emailed him if he could change a few settings for me and he sent me back a revised version of the tune and works great. I got 87 economy 91 performance and 91 tow. I keep it on 91 performance and it runs great. I would recommend 5startuning to anyone.

My buddy goes them trucks are dogs my dad had one. Im like well hop in I will show you what I got. He was amazed. I got 33's Mickey Thompsons and he was like do a burnout and I did and his mouth just dropped. He said his dads 06 could barely do a burnout with stock tires.

I'll put another vote in for Mike Butler and 5 Star Tuning. Ordered my SCT Livewire on Saturday evening via the website. Received an email from Mike that night saying he would have it out to me by Monday with custom tunes loaded. I received it on Wednesday. I was shocked to see it get here so fast. Still had a half tank of 87 octane to run out before I could load the custom tunes.

I managed to run that half tank out in 2 days ok, I may have kept my foot in it so it would burn it up. Anyway filled it up with 93 and loaded the performance tune. It made a world of difference in my 04 Expy. The shifts are so much chrisper and the trottle response seems to be much better. I can tell a difference in power, however with the 2 valve 5.4 a programmer isn't a miracle worker so it could still use another 50hp.

I may have him tweak the torque converter lock a little but I'm happy and just totally blown away by the service.
