Midnights truck weighs absolutley nothing compared to something like a screw or a scab.

My 2006 Reg cab short box weighs 5200 lbs completley stock with 1/8 tank of gas...that goes to show how much wieght the 4x4 crap adds....but if Midnight is only pushing 5300 lbs on the scale WITH the truck loaded down with crap, him in it, and a full tank of gas then no wonder is is running AWSOME times once he unloads the truck, plus pulls off weight.
You guys cant compare a damn 4x4 Screw or Scab with a 2wd regular cab, its just stupid.

Midnight probably has a gearing advantage over anyone in this thread too. I assume 3.73s with smaller 2wd tires than what some of us 4x4 guys are running. Rotational mass of a stock wheel and tire should be decently less than an aftermarket wheel and mud tire, or even a stock wheel with a bigger MT tire.

Anywho, to get back on topic....CONGRATS Midnight. Ive been thinking of trying out a VMP tune to compare it to my Troyer tunes.

yes bartak... 3.73's

I don't know how much of a difference there actually is between tuners... being stock. I would only assume very little changes in the "driveability" category. once i start getting into heavy motor mods i think i am going to make the switch over to Troyer tunes. I trust Starkey has the knowledge on tuning these motors but i think Troyer has the upper hand when it comes to forced induction and heavy modding on these motors.

Man....you guys with the '04+ trucks are at a big disadvantage.... My '01 SCrew 2wd weighs in right at 5000lbs with me (150) and about 50lbs worth of two child seats, bed extender, etc...and my Roush wheels/tires weigh 10lbs extra each compared to stock wheels/tires.

The track times....well...thats awefully fast, but nobody should underestimate the value of "mineshaft air" when you get a really good day at a sea level track.

And what was the corrected altitude that day?

I'm at about 900 ft here, but on a humid summer day the corrected altitude can easily be ~3500......a really good weather day at a sea level track can occasionaly net a corrected altitude below sea level... I'd have given my left nut to make a couple runs in air like that when I had my turbo Stang....

yeah... you guys with the pre- NBS trucks weigh a pretty good amount less than us. come on down to florida with that turbo stang if you still have it. I got a place for you to stay.
