If i were to buy the gryphon and for some reason have to take it to the dealership for warranty work and they reflashed my pcm, what costs am I looking at to get my gryphon to work again?

Also, do you ship out the evo with canned tunes while the custom ones are being made and then email the custom tunes like the other companies?

Thanks

might be faster if you go here:

All I can say is Bill is awesome, and will work with you. Before going to the dealer, you can reflash your own truck back to stock to prevent anything from happening. Reflash back to stock, and remove the gryphon. It would take all over 1-2 minutes max ! Love mine.

See that's what i did when i had my xcal 3 from troyer. they said to return to stock and write down the strategy code. I did and when i got my truck back from the dealership i plugged it in and the strategy code was different. They said I would have to ship the tuner back to them and it was basically gonna cost a few hundred to get my custom tunes back again.

Ouch ! I don't see that being an issue, but I am far from an expert here. Bill is an awesome guy, and already has worked with me getting some issues resolved (mostly my mistakes ! ). Cool guy. Even took time out of his personal life to call me and get things figured out. Maybe make a similar thread on their forum, see what everyone over there says. Lots of guys over there know much more then I.

Yes, their customer service seems very good. That's worth alot right there. I know i can get the xcal 3 from Justin for $399, which is the same as the gryphon. Before I decide to buy though, I just want to know the costs if for some reason my pcm gets reflashed and im stuck with a tuner that doesnt work.

I'm going to take a BIG chance here and say that I think if this happens to you, all you would need to do is email your new HEX code to PHP, explaining the reason for it, and they would rebuild ALL your custom tunes at no cost to you. Then, it's a simple download through their Pegasus updating software and you're back in business!

And, If I'm wrong, someone will jump in here and set me straight.

Yes, Jack, I think you are correct, and that is also why they sell the plug that keeps them from reflasing.

Also, it does come with the canned tunes and you get the custom tunes later, by email.
