Vista wins, man what a pain in the neck this is. I just called Edge and talked to tech about my evolution not updating. They pretty much told me in a very nice and informative nutshell that the Edge is screwed when it comes to Vista. They told me to find a PC with XP give them a call back, they would walk me through the update procedure. Man this blows now I have to go make up and befriend the only XP user I know .

Oh yeah BTW, have any of you guys tried to mount one of the F250 powerstroke Edge mounts on our trucks. I love the way the Edge is intergrated into the A-pillar cover, and I have seen them with some extra gauge pods as well. O well I guess thats 0-Edge, 1-Vista for me.

 

Get rid of the Edge and get a Gryphon so you can get custom tunes. I don't have a gryphon but I do have an Xcal3 with custom tunes and the custom tunes are way better than canned tunes. From reading posts from other memebers it sounds as if they are pleased with their Gryphon and PHP's customer service.

 

Yes, we are! And, Bill Cohron has discovered a workaround that solves the problem with updating the Gryphon on Vista (using Pegasus).

Welp, Edge and I finally got together in front of a XP computer. The guys there man they just handled everything so nicely and didnt let me off the phone untill I had it in the truck they even looked up my new tire size for me. Good Job Edge I appricate it, guys if your having issues and dont want a Gryphon just give them a chance to work out the kinks, Vista will not patch the issues needed to run Lighting exe.

I dont know about edge but if i want to down load anything from sct i have to turn user controls off on vista. Control panal/user accounts/off
