Just installed S+B on my truck I dont want to run lean.08 5.4 I have custum tunes but not for this intake.5 Star is testing this intake this week and will send new tunes when they get it dialed in.If i add more fuel at wot will that keep me safe untill tunes come in or is that wot only?If so how much? Oh ya I have SCT Livewire.

 

What tuner do you have? You need to do some datalogging and monitor your fuel trims to try and compensate. Do some runs with your tuner and see what kind if A/F corrections are being made and go from there. If I were you, I would just stay out of hard time WOT until you get the tunes.

 

New tunes are in no time to try them out but looking forword to it.

Hmmm...well from your tone who are you?

All I was suggesting was that he get real numbers before he do anything if anything at all hence the warning to stay out of WOT. I don't claim to be anyone. I just happened to have recently had personal experience on the dyno (at a dynojet facility) with lean issues and had to do alot of communicating with them/troyer/vmp about correcting the issue and was just trying to keep a fellow board member from hurting their vehicle.

That is all, no claims of super knowledge of tuning and no pissing contests dude. So ease up.

 

How did those tunes work out for you??

 

I have not tried them yet,it wont stop snowing and i dont drive my truck on salty wet roads.

 

LOL..yeah. trying out new tunes in the ice and muck is probably bad.
