Second, if my primary purpose for using an Evolution is to increase fuel economy (not saying that's my only purpose - that's just what I'm telling the lady to justify the purchase), which canned tune would I use? Level 1 does very little, just better shifts. Level 2 is for towing, low end torque. Level 3 is performance. I got the best mileage on level 3 with 93 octane. Enough betterto pay the difference in cost.

I think eventually I will get the Gryphon tune as well, but really wanted to see how the canned tunes performed. I also wanted the display and liked the Edge setup, so would purchase anyway. Right now I am having some issues with the Edge throwing the truck into limp mode on cold mornings (level 2), as well as CEL issues (level 3), so working that out with Edge Tech Support. But assuming we work out the kinks, I am still impressed with the overall improvements.

custom tunes are the only way to go, I waited 3 weeks for my VMP tuned XCal3.
