Hi there,

At this moment, Bill is actually writing a manual for our Minotaur Tuning Software, so I know he's not working on custom tunes this weekend. As for Monday and Tuesday, I don't know what he has planned , but I know that he'll be relieved to have that manual finished! If you get a second, check this out. It might help answer your question!

I can't wait to get my tax return and finally get a gryphon. You guys seem like such great people, and I have heard nothing but good about your tunes.

with all the snow we have been getting, and when you open the door snow falls in and i am afraid of getting the gryphon wet/snowy in the dash pod right next to the door...

how safe is it?

Mine has had snow on it with no ill effects thus far. I think the larger problem you will have is that when you hit the go juice, it is hard not to spin the tires on the snow! The truck likes to GO when you have a Gryphon.

already found that one out.. ha ha...

crap., the roads were fine yesterday and i was going to do a auctual test run 0-60 and see how it was, but i got too busy and was going to do it this morning.... the snow came early and we already have a few inches on the roads, no 0-60 this week, it's not supposed to stop all week.

Merry Christmas, and thanks all for this great recommendation!

Well it's an electronic device and snow is frozen water. Even though the Gryphon is encased in plastic and has the pod around it, I would still do everything possible to avoid that situation imo.

what else could i do?

i wipe the truck down as much as possible, but to get to the snow brush to get it well, it is inside the truck... so some definitely gets in...

so far it hassn't gotten snow on it yet, but the door switches and seat get covered...

wondering if it has been a problem with any one else

Cut up some heavier mil plastic or something and cover it. Unless the thing is getting completely covered w/snow and you let it sit there, I don't think you have a whole lot to worry about. I know what you mean though when you open the door and the snow is sucked in.

Wouldn't it be easier to just have a small hand towel to cover it when the door is open. Store it in the compartment in the door?

I'm from California so I guess I shouldn't really have a say in the matter

well we had 6" on the truck, and i did not clean it off... i opened the door and the gryphon did not get a speck of snow on it... the snow seems to fall more towards the rear where the seat is compared to the front where the unit is...

good design! and the more i drive the truck, the more i like the programmer

Gryphon is awesome ! I keep mine on level 3 mostly. Search the site (using SEARCH function) and you can see people listing out there custom tunes. I personally started with Bluejay's custom setting, and then tweaked em for my personal preference from there. Even better then at first, and I am stoked to get the fully custom tunes ! Awesome product though, that's for sure !!

Ah, one of the pleasures of working from home is that we are always with the boys, 7 and 9. Our youngest, however, has a terrible habit of coming into the office and leaving behind whatever's in his hands (you should see my desk). I think I had let him fold the customers' white boxes the day your Gryphon was shipped. What a hoot! We shipped 13 programmers that day -- can you imagine what might be in the other boxes? Now that I think about, I'm pretty sure one of our cats is missing...

I'm glad you like all the goodies. I always wonder if people even care or really notice. I only recently started putting in the mints because I thought to myself What a nice treat it would be to open a package and find candy! Even if you're having a bad day, you'd have to smile.
i dont think anyone would be having a bad day if they got a package from you guys, mints or not lol
