Mustang killer !?!? Running alot of v6 mustangs?

Mike Troyer is a real good guy that knows his **** inside and out. Ive talked to him a few times (for a LONG time as he talks alot) and he always impersses me. If you know alot about trucks/motors/trans etc in general, then you'll really be amazed when you understand what troyer is truely doing.

Yikes! It's easy to see why this could be the start of another "flame war". Wouldn't it be better if we could talk to the guy writing our tunes BEFORE complaining in this public forum?

I agree, the forum is a place for all of us to share our experiences and to offer advice or ask questions, but I, for one, don't think it's cool to just complain about something before trying to resolve the issue.

Most of us who have been around for a little while have come to the conclusion that Mike Troyer, Justin Starkey and Bill Cohron are standup guys who will work with you and resolve your problems if given the chance. I personally know this to be true for Bill Cohron and posts from other members tell me Justin and Mike are reputable too.

07 Crew, I'm glad you talked to Mike and that you were big enough to tell us about it. It's good you aren't somebody who complains and then disappears.

- Jack

Agreed! That's like ordering steak well done, getting it rare, eating it and then bitching about it. Talk to Mike, give him a chance to correct any issues and then give your assessment.

I have both Troyer and VMP tunes as well. I liked the feel of the Troyer tunes better, but I didn't come in here saying the VMP tunes were crap. I actually contacted Justin, told him what I didn't like and he fixed my issue. I'm sure Mike will do the same for you. You may end up still liking the feel of your VMP tunes (I'm torn on which tune I actually like better now that Justin has fixed my issue), but at least with Mike fixing any issues you can give a more accurate review.

Hope everything works out for you '07. I've been a happy Troyer driver for the last year and a half and all I can say is that Mike's tunes have waaaayy out performed the stock tunes on my truck from the minute I installed them. Don't have any experience with VMP or PHP, but from what I read on here, everyone who has those tunes are just as happy with them. I don't think you could go wrong with choosing any one of the 3 of them. The one thing I would stay away from is canned Edge tunes, from what you read on the site, they seem to cause alot of problems with our trucks! Question, did you give Troyer the correct code from your comp.? In other words, has the computer been flashed before at a dealership without your knowing it, thereby resetting the code? Probably a dumb question, but just thought I'd ask.

If the dealer had reflashed and troyer had the wrong strategy code the truck would not start at all.

That's the way mine was when my VMP tunes came in, I emailed Justin the new strategy code and within 2 days I had the updated tunes.

I like to say thank you to Mike Troyer, I just recieved my new tunes and they are awesome Truck pulls like crazy and the shifting program is excellent. Im glad everything worked out in the end, Im 100% statified with my Troyer tunes now The top end pull is insane for a heavy crew cab truck, I thought I had exsperienced the best performance out of my truck and I have to stand corrected as most of you will say........ I told you so But Im glad to have two great tuners tunes, it's nice to have that option.

My screw is just a 2wd so, it's not a race car by any means, just wanting to improve it a little Even with the stock tune I never had a problem spinning the tires, this is also the best running f-150 I have out of the four 04+ models.

But on the other note I apologize to Mike, I shouldn't have even posted my troubles. As many trucks as he tunes ones bond not to take well to a tune and I so happened to be the luck of the draw. Hopefully everything will work out in the end Didn't mean to offend anyone or bash
it takes a man to apologize when he is wrong, for this i commend you

Mike adjusted the part throttle program for me and the way the converter locks and un-locks, he set it up to my likings and how I use my truck in everyday life. The syptoms I was having with the original tunes of no power was more than likley a sign of being coruppted some how which could of happened when transfering the tune files on to the programmer. Other than that I dont now what happened? They are definetly good now
