Bill, glad you showed up. The codes are out of my scope. I did a search on the p2106 and it seems to involve the throttle body sensor.

Texasgirl, if you end up taking it in to be looked at, be sure and return it to stock first as they may reflash the PCM.

The 2106 means that the ECM detected a significant problem and forced a shutdown of the throttle control. The most common cause of this is canned tune programmer + CAI, especially in cold weather.

That's why I was asking about mods.

just 6" lift, 35 inch tires, 20" wheels, premium gas, and the edge. everything was fine until i called edge about the screen going out and acting funny. the truck was fine, but the screen barely worked. they had me download some new software yesterday. today, all kinds of problems.

when my boyfriend came to get me, he drove it home. he put it on level 2 and drove it on the highway and got up to 55-60mph. he said it felt very under powered. this is some weird stuff. i had the thing on for about a year and a half, with really no issues.

i called edge to see what could be done about the screen. it would stay on over night, it would change colors, it would be blank. this has been goin on for the past few months. the performance of the truck never changed so i didnt think much of it.
now that school is going to be out for the holidays, i decided to look into it.

I did a search on the p060 code and there is some stuff out there but no definitive answer. If it were mine, I would return it to stock and take it to a dealer.

Sorry I could not be of more help and no one showed up that could. If you haven't, click on the search button above, click on advanced search and enter the code in the space. You get several threads to read.

I did not read that you put the progammer back to stock before disconnecting the battery if not try stock disconnect the battery and do the drive cycle which is like 50 miles or so of constant driving and then reprogram it .....but if it keeps running like crap you probably dont want to drive it that long .....just trying to think of what else could help....

Not the same truck, but my old boss has the same exact problem on his2500hd chevy duramax diesel. He has the edge I believe and an intake but it started out at around 55 mph and try to go above that and the truck acts like its governed and shuts off. Its gotten worse now and sometimes it wont go above 20 or 25. I know they aren't the same trucks or anything but it sounds wierd.

p0060 is HO2S heater resistance (bank 2 sensor 2) and can cause a p2106.

P2106 is more of an imformational code that notes the fact that you were in fmem (failure mode effects managment). bascially fix cause of p0060 first. check all fuses and o2 (2-2)sensor wiring for obvious shorts and damaged wiring.

First thing i would do it put truck back to stock tune and see if code is still there. then diag the p0060 first.

Also if you go in mud look at the harness behind the dr front tire on the side of the frame for mud/rock damage. (depending upon year of your truck some are protected better then others. Also since your lifted with oversized/more aggressive tread tires, chances of harness damage are increased dramatically.)

Or if you cant find the fault take it to ford.
