edge evolution Pod mounting

I just got my evolution in. I noticed they send a little aluminum bracket with velcro for mounting. I would like to mount mine much more solid. Have any of you ever used epoxy or colored silicone to mount it? if so what did you used, and how did it work. I am just worried about people trying to steal it and i want to at least slow them down.

theres not gonna be any slowing it down. and the velcro i didnt even put on mine when i had the edge. the pod does not move a bit w/ or w/out the velcro. you can always screw it in if you could find a clean way of doing it.

Mine just sits on the dash and is held in place by the cable. I have it snugged down and it doesn't move. I have never worried about it being stolen, I would be more concerned about the damage they did ripping it out if it's bolted down as well as the damage they did to get into the truck.

I used the velcro that was supplied and then some. It seems that in the summer the pod will pop up due to the heat and in the winter due to the cold. Usually though it stays in place pretty good. As for thieves, most common douche 17 year old kids have no idea WTF it is. Some ***** climbed through my sunroof over the summer and stole my GPS charging cord but not the GPS. He snagged my radar detector and cut the cord 3-4 inches from the plug on the dash. He stole a pocket knife from the center console but left the spare set of keys. WTF is wrong with these idiots? Do it good or dont do it at all, It wasn't even worth my time to call the cops!

I didn't use the bracket or velcro. It kinda just snapped in place.

My pod mounts the same as rednoved's - sort of "snaps" into the dash and hasn't moved. I couldn't figure out how the aluminum L-bracket and velcro were supposed to work anyway, so I tossed them. :o

As I've reported on different threads, I installed JimmiJammer door lock shields on each door and on the tailgate to make it harder to get in (using a screwdriver through the door handle). Now, they've got to at least break the window to get inside.

If I were to take the truck somewhere that I felt was totally unsafe, I'd just remove the Gryphon (custom tuned Edge). It slips out of the pod fairly easily if I want to do this.
