Cool

HI!... I've been waiting for my recalibrated X-CAL2 (F-150 to RANGER) now for more than 15 weeks. You don't see me complaining. I know Mike is busy and will get to it. I asked for a ton of special tweaks to be done to mine that he doesn't do in his regular tunes, so I know it will take him longer to do. Plus I know he's really busy right now. As long as I get it before X-MAS. I'm happy.

I dont think the wait is worth it at all. I love my VMP tunes and i only waited 5 days. Justin is a great guy to deal with and his tunes are spot on. Just like mike, justin writes the tunes as well. there's no reason for anyone to wait that long

Cool

HI!... Well I can almost guarantee that MIKE does 5x the custom tunes that JUSTIN does, and that MIKE has about 20 other projects going on at the same time, I don't mind waiting for what IMO is the best tuner. Notice I said "IMO"....... So the cry babies can go flame somewhere else.

I too went with Troyer I & I had to wait for about 10-11 weeks. To me any wait was worth it because I received custom tunes for my own truck for what mods I had put on it. My CAI drone went away and so did the torque converter issues that came with the canned tunes on my Xcal3. When it comes to custom tunes you get what you wait for !

VMP tunes for your truck and your mods also. A handful of users here have had both VMP and TP tunes, and most of the time there is only minute differences. I'd rather wait 1-2 weeks for a tune as opposed to 2-4 months for one that's almost identical. That's how I see it.

Couldn't agree more. The tunes aren't going to be much different from Troyer to Mike, and I'd rather not wait 2-4 months for the same tunes I can get in 2-3 weeks from VMP.

The wait time is what is eventually going to start costing Troyers business. It's already slowly starting to happen now. More and more people are choosing VMP solely on the wait time.

you are all forgetting the work load Mike has compared to Justin and as Justins work load increases so does his wait time...

I agree that Troyers wait time is starting to cost business but they will always have loyal customers who use them over and over again.

I have both VMP and Troyer tunes and I will do business with both in the future due to great customer service and great tunes

I really don't think there is a huge difference in the amount of tunes each one is putting out. Justin was just featured in 5.0 Mustangs and Fast Fords, so I'm sure that isn't helping the wait-time much. Still, waiting 4 weeks is better then 4 months.

How do you KNOW that the tunes are not much different between the Troyer and VMP??? If you are going by the butt dyno then you don't know.

People have a choice of who they want to tune there trucks. If you can't wait then go with somebody that is faster. If you have patience to wait then you have more choices. Is there a wrong choice? I don't think there is.

I didn't say I KNOW they are different... I believe the term I used was "I really don't think".

Are you thinking there is like a 30hp difference between the two tuners? I highly doubt that. If your talking more of a 5-10hp difference, I'd still rather get the tunes quicker then wait 4 months for the 5-10hp you wont notice.

The part in bold says it best! Just kidding.

You made a choice based on how fast you want the tunes. If people want to wait then that is fine too. But to say the there is no big difference between tunes is just an opinion and not based on any facts. Please prove me wrong if I am incorrect.

HI!... That proves nothing. I would like to see the WOT a/f's for a tune done by both tuners for a particular truck or trucks. Plus dyno graphs and 1/4 mile times. I've seen guys say this tune is faster than this tune due to the seat of the pants feel. then they go to the track or the dyno and it's the other way around................

I'm not trying to prove that one is a ton better than the other, just that they both achieve roughly the same goal. If you want all this proof so bad then go get it.

My point is that maybe 5HP or a couple tenths at the track isn't really worth an additional 50 bones and 2-3 months of waiting.
And what's wrong with using a tune that gives you a better driving experience or seat of the pants feel? Isn't that the point for most people here?
