VMP Tune impression. 0-60 Times w/ VID

I've driven around the past week with my VMP 91 tune, loving the bottom end performance, it pulls so much harder down low than my Troyer tune could ever hope to.

Fuel economy seems to be the same as the Troyer tune. The VMP tune isn't as responsive as the Troyer in throttle response on the highway, but once it's moving it pulls just as hard.

Cruise control is nice and haven't been bothered by any torque converter issues so far.

My truck also has an S&B CAI, and Aero 3" catback.

I was curious to see the difference in my 0-60 times, with the Troyer tune I was averaging 6.6-6.8 second 0-60 times on a stopwatch. Usually I would record a video, and use a stopwatch after.

I did this tonight for two quick runs, about 20 gallons in my tank. When preloading the torque converter to 1800 RPM, I got a 0-60 time of 6.22 seconds, and with just a normal takeoff I got 6.38. Overall I think the truck really pulls now and I'm super happy with my $60 mailorder tune.

I'm thinking about going to the track soon for fun,
I'd love to go up against maybe another Troyer tuned truck.

PS: Saleen grille officially on its way :]

your times are way off my friend no way in hell 6 seconds hell s/c trucks will only do it in 5-6 seconds you are more less around the 8-8.5 second mark

use a cd and once it hits :10 hit the gas and once u hit 60 see wat seconds the track is on i bet its close to 19 seconds or so

I'm not saying they're 100% correct, I just wanted to show the improvement.

I'll post a video tonight and you can stopwatch it yourself if you'd like.

Here you go, the only video I have in my email, I'm at work right now.

I start the timer from the moment you can hear me release the brake, its hard to see the speedo in the video but if you look closely you'll be able to see when I hit 60, because I didn't let off at 60.

These new Falken 285's are sticky I love it.

This was done windows up, about 68 degrees out, preloaded the torque converter to 1800.

i find it impossible to run 0-60 in 6 seconds with only a truck with just a tune and a few other mods with no s/c dont see it possible, unless u r going down a hill when doing the run lol

HI!... Well my F-150 did 0-60MPH in 4.4 seconds with no S/C or TURBO or NITROUS. All N/A. But that is with a built low compression 5.4. My 2007 RANGER, 4.0L does 0-60MPH in 6.57 seconds, stock.
