can you read a trouble code with an x-cal 2?

can you read a trouble code with an x-cal 2?

just that. i had my service engine soon light come on and would rather not take it in unless i have to.

so... how do you do it?

code came up as: P0506 IDLE CTRL SYS RPM LO EXP

dont by chance have any way of looking that up do you?

Disconnect your battery to clear KAM, clean your throttle body and then reconnect your battery.

i appreciate it yet again. im gonna have to take it to the office in the morning. hopefully it will have stopped raining by then.

Just FYI, make sure you remove the TB from the composite intake manifold, 8mm bolts, when you clean it.

you know right off hand if it has a fiber gasket?

4.6 2v : fiber-type gasket (as long as you do not rip it there won't be a need to replace)
5.4 3v : o-ring type on intake manifold

4.6 2v would be OK to clean on the vehicle as it does not have a composite intake manifold
