They are only the canned tunes at the moment and NOW I understand what you guys try to describe as "My truck finally woke up"! I can't even wait 4 more weeks till the custom tunes are done......

Thanks again guys! This place rocks!

Now, the custom tunes WILL be better, but, don't look for such a drastic change again. It's more like a "polish" on what was a good start. My experience was about 0.7mpg better using my custom towing tune over the stock Level 2 tune, as well as better passing power while towing.

I've just gotten an 87 octane economy tune and will be interested to see what it does. I've been getting an honest 15.2-15.5mpg on the highway while not towing.

I owe you an e-mail, don't I?

Corey, you are so welcome! You are keeping an eye on Bill, right, just don't kick him to hard with that toe of yours. Perhaps, a gentle nudge would be better, even a big hug.?! Take your time....No rush....my birthday is November 11th LOL!!

Anyone that is "On the fence" about ordering a tuner, give Power Hungry a call and let them do what they do best, then decide which brand to go with.

Don't believe that is correct now. They are now offering the SCT as well, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the heads up, Guys. Enom is working on their server, so that may be affecting the PHP website. Try again in a bit.

Someone told me that if you are just looking for performance to get a custom tune chip instead of the programmer. my question is how often if ever have you used the programmer for error codes or other stuff? and what else does it do besides reeding error codes and holding different tunes?

I don't know that they even make chips for the 2004 up. Everything I have seen has been about programmers. Most of us have taller tires and need the programmer to adjust the speedometer. Also, it does come in handy if you need to read a code and it does happen. If you do a CAI, you need custom tunes to make sure you are not running lean, plus to take full advantage. I wanted teh Edge/Gryphon for the gauges. I use it constantly. It is the last mod I would give up.

f150 46, I will tell you this, I have a plane jane stx with very minimal gauges, my problem now is trying to decide what I want to monitor.

If you have the gauges in your truck already then the "instant miles per gallon" and the "average miles per gallon" help keep your foot out of the gas peddle as you watch them drop rapidly! Also, if you have the alarms turned on, the display will flash and beep at you once one of your parameters has been met, alerting you to the problem area. It is nice to see whats happening now than finding the problem later once it is to late. Just my .02¢

Plus, you can monitor water, oil and tranny temps as well as actual voltage.
