no display on my edge programmer...what to do??

The display went out on my programmer, I tried to disconnect it and connecting it back but still nothing. Before when there was no display thats what i would do and then it would show up. My truck runs pretty normal. I want to know what i need to do for it to show me a screen... any suggestions

But, what have you got to lose? The cost of a phone call?

As an aside, does the cigar lighter work? Both of these things come off the same fuse (great FOMOCO design - right?) I'd check the fuse before calling anyone.

very good point. if u overloaded the lighter circuit with crap that can kill the 12v to the edge.

I dunno why people have had such bad experiences with edge cust support?? I've never had any bad experiences!
Give em a call.

On a side note. And if I'm not mistaken my edge went blank, unplugged then plugged back in and seemed to work for the time being and probably not even a week later my battery went dead?? could be coincidence but it could be related, seeing as the edge is very sensitive to power issues.

but checking the fuses seems to be the most sound first step as stated above!

Well since Ford knew everyone would have an EDGE, I am sure they would have given the OBD2 power its own circuit for you guys.

No, it's because they DID know this that some "terrorist" "mole" in their engineering department figured this was a way to sabotage us - so they put it on a "shared" circuit.

I can disconnect it for you if you want a dedicated circuit.
