Alright Guys

need some help. I have an 06' Screw with the 4.6. I have Magnaflow SI/DO exhaust and the Airaid CAI. I want a tune!!!

I have looked at several but am leaning towards the Superchips Flashpaq or the SCT Xcal 2. Prices are comparable. I am kinda new to all of this so any advice would be appreciated. (PS: I also looked at a tuner by Diablo and Hypertech) I don't really want the kind you mount on your dash like the Edge.

Xcal2 with custom tunes without a doubt. I use Justin at VMPTuning.com.

in all honesty now

does a tuner make that great of a difference? Is it worth the roughly $400.00 bucks? I have read alot about them but wonder if the difference would be that phenomenal.

Completely. I used canned tunes before switching to a custom tuned Xcal2 and I'll never use anything else but custom tunes on my vehicles.

It will be, people have used the Edge then had the Edge custom tuned report a night and day difference. As Thump said VMP would be a great choice.

If you purchase enter coupon code "THUMP" and thumper gets a 5% kickback

Seems like a lot of people from here as well as other F150 websites are using VMP Tuning.

Not to mention I see the owner posting here quite often, especially compared to the lack of any other site sponsors whom are tuners contributing and answering questions.

Ahh, Thumper - you're forgetting Bill Cohron, owner of PowerHungryPerformance who posts quite regularly under the name "ASEMechanic". But, I agree otherwise, Bill and Justin are probably the ones who are the most present to answer questions.

VMP has tuned many trucks here. Troyer is considered the best of the best due to his experience, yet many Troyer customers have swaped to VMP and reported better driveability. I would go by actual results long before I would worry about what he advertises most on his web page

How many is "many"? I haven't read very many posts of people switching. Which people are we talking about and the dyno sheets comparing the two? How long have the tunes been installed and shown no problems? You made a very general statement with nothing to back it up with. Not trying to stir the pot more but please think about what you are writing here.

Mike Troyer was the only one who posted on here for a lonnnnngggggg time.

This forum used to be Troyer Troyer Troyer, with his customer service issues and huge delay people have looked to other companys for tunes. Now VMP and PHP and knocking out tunes here regularly with many satisfied customers. Sounds like your stuck in the mindself F150online had 2 years ago. Sorry bud things change and VMP is doing a fine job of tuning these trucks
