Got my Gryphon Tuner from PHP today and have a "Error Code D2" displayed when trying to change from stock to new tune.
I know Bill and Corey @ PHP very busy trying to get custom tunes out to all you have ordered so anyone else had they problem when first install their new Gryphon?

 

Hi cogger. I had no problems whatever installing my Gryphon and putting in Bill's custom tune.

It sounds like you're trying to load a "canned" tune that comes with the Gryphon. All I can say here, is that you have to be VERY careful to follow the directions in the manual - exactly! This is not the time for intuition! Have the manual open and follow the procedures step-by-step. Most problems with this device seem to be related to trying to "shortcut" or "secondguess" the procedures.

I DO know Bill wants everyone to be happy, so if you've tried to make this thing work again and you've followed the directions in the manual, get on the horn to him. He will work with you!

Unfortunately, you have a non-working Gryphon. We evidently got a batch of bad boards or something from Edge; we don't know that they're bad until the customer tries to install them. You are actually the fourth customer in about 6 weeks to whom this has happened. We will get a new programmer out to you this week (I'll try to get it to you Express mail), and I will e-mail you with instructions to get the non-working programmer back to us so that WE can get it back to Edge...

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. The worst part is that everything takes so much time to get to Canada that the whole experience is compounded and made that much worse.

 

hey. I know you guys are away. But i wiated a long time for my custom codes. seems I kinda got lost for a bit there. But Cody sent them finally to me after I cakked and a 3 1/2 month wait. Now I cant get ot to load . Im really tryin here nut it wont go at all and says something about not compatabile. I feel like i got a $300 paper wieght.. HELP PLEASE.... ANYBODY...

What programmer do you have?
A...Monochrome Gryphon
B...The CS or CTS


Maybe you ment F1???

If you're trying to load them on the truck...
If its the monochrome Gryphon....
The error code 0xF1 can sometimes appear during programming. Try this:
1. Leave the ignition key in the ON position.
2. Disconnect the Gryphon at the OBDII port.
3. Plug the Gryphon back into the OBDII port.
4. After getting to the main screen, wait 15 seconds for needed parameters to be loaded.
If you still cannot program the PCM successfully, contact PHP for assistance.

Or are you trying to load them off the server Pegasus?

 

Its the mono gryphon. I tried the obdb plug... twice. I am loading the program from pegasus. Believe me I have been calling. The problem is getting him to answer in the six hour window. Look its takin me a long time to get to the paper weight comment . But I ordered this in very early september, waited a month then started to call n find out where my codes were. also emailed numerous times...And no reply.Even left my number for a call back. I finally got cody to answer and they couldnt find my invoice hence no custom tune.. then when it came it was wrong ....twice..and now it wont load at all!!soo excuse me if I get A a little fustrated. I just want it to work ,Im not loaded and it took a long time to save for... I called all day yesterday for cody and nothing...

 

This is the useful information. When you plugged the gryphon into the truck did it light up? Then did it show you your HEX code? Or did it mess up while programming?

 

It lit up n showed the hex. I got an email via the forum from Cody . He put up a new program on Pegasus for me. Seems they had the wrong hex code in.a little mix up. Gina try tonight to load it up. Wish mee luck!

Now when you hook it up to the computer and have Pegasus on.....what's the hex code Pegasus is showing?
Take note of that......

Same thing when hooked up to your truck.....what's the hex code in the boot up screen?.......
Take note of that one also......

The tunes won't load to the truck until the hex codes are the same.

 

jujst checked again .. cause im going nuts at this point.. its the same in both spots

 

well just so you all know. Im on the P.H.P. forum trying to resolve the issue
