Gryphon CTS, should I wait??

So I'm planning on FINALLY purchasing my Gryphon CTS before the end of the year (gotta take advantage of PHP's holiday discount). But my problem is I'm also going to be getting some work done at the dealership in the next few weeks (tranny service, oil change, fuel filter, etc.) Should I wait until after I get the service done to send bill my HEX code and order my custom tunes just in case the dealership re-flashes my truck? I'm thinking thats probably what I should do, but what about running the canned tunes? Reflashing the PCM won't affect anything with the canned tunes, correct? Set me straight here.....THANKS!!!!

Hi.

As long as the calibration revision they flash it to ( if they do) is supported by the device's canned tunes, yer good. Sometimes, they are not.

Yes by using fusion......
Or
You may have to contact edge and tell them what it is so they can add it, then you'll use fusion to update.

Go ahead and ordered it but wait until after your trucks big service date to send the hex code in.......

Most likely it won't change.

Thanks man. This is what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. How often do they update/reflash these trucks??

Most dealers will do anything they can to avoid it. Reflashes are only supposed to be done to solve specific issues. Unless you are complaining about something, you should be safe. If you are off warranty, reflashes are not free and I believe legally they have to ask your permission to do it unless it's already built into the estimate.
