gryphon error code
gryphon error code
I recieved an email labeled
"Calibration update is now available for download."
Correct me if i am wrong but is this my custom tune.
I followed directions downloaded it and ran the "targeted function" and the software stated install complete. I reinstalled the gryphon and loaded #1 87 performance. When it finished loading . I recieved an F1 error code stating caliboration is not available for this vehicle. I had to remove the gryphon to get the error code removed. The vehicle is running in 0. but i havent tried to load a kevel again. I emailed PHP but its late so I was hoping someone on here was up.

It looks like Bill has changed the way your custom tune is loaded into the Gryphon from the way I did it.
However, if you were able to return the truck to level 0 without problems then it seems you could try installing the custom tune again. Does the tune you are trying to load have a new "name" in the menu? (This would indicate it is a custom tune that has been successfully loaded into the Gryphon).
I'm sure though, that Bill will be able to help you if things aren't working properly. Let us know what happens, OK?

Yes they changed the way the gryphons are updated, it actually goes out to PHP servers over the net and gets your tunes based on your serial number of the unit and loads them on right away making the unit more or less virgin. When you plug it in it will read the stock setting ( gryphon and the truck have to be back in stock state before updating ) and then lets you choose a tune.
I got my today also, wrong ones but I got them
, Bill is fixing the issue and I should have my proper ones tomorrow !! But so far I love the way they do things.
I would try loading it again after flashing it back to stock, if you get the same error code email Bill he will sort you out, might be the wrong Hex code or something.

Cool!
I was one of the first to get a custom tune from Bill right after he created PHP. When I got my tune, I had to call him and he had to "talk" me through the update using Lightning. (This was necessary to get an "unlock" code to allow the tune to be loaded). I thought this was a horrible bottleneck and I'm glad he's worked out a new procedure.
But, since I'm a software engineer myself, I know new processes do not always go smoothly. It WILL get worked out though, I'm sure of it! And, once it is, the custom tunes will be provided much faster!
Hang in there!

I got the wrong ones as well. No response to the emails yet though. I tried to reload the tunes from the server to double check, but it seems they delete after download.
Hopefully they get the email working soon!
Does anyone know if the tunes can be 'saved' locally in case we want (for what ever reason) to return the unit to stock for a time?
Cheers!

I spoke with Bill on tuesday. When I bought my original Edge it was used. So when Bill did the calibration he used the original HEX codes instead of my new HEX. SO he has to redo the calibration to match my HEX. That sucks cause I really can't wait to get this tune. I should hear back from him soon on the new one.
Hey guys. They sent me my new calibration. Now I am getting another issue. When I open the software everything connects fine via usb, but when I click on target functions it starts the download but then I get an error message.
"Unable to locate a Target Instruction file. Process failed
Update failed. Please contact your vendor for assistance."
I emailed them but have not heard anything yet. Anyone run into this?
