Its listed at kbb and edmunds for around 18,500 trade in. So I don't really want to take a hit on the truck and I don't drive it that much with only 24,000 miles after 3 yrs.

So I started looking at what I can do to make this truck give me better gas mileage. So if the Edge and Bill's have the same tunes but Bill's can be customed that would probably be the way to go.

Is there a wait to get the Gryphon to the house or just the tunes?
Is there anything else to get a little better gas mileage besides keeping the foot light? Tonneau cover is just a old wives tale for gas mileage?
PHP ships the Gryphon pretty quickly, with it's canned tunes, which gives you much improved performance and drivability. It gives you something to play with and helps you decide what you want from a custom tune. Then it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to get your custom tunes, once you place the order with Bill. The canned tunes are wonderful, I ran them for 31,000 miles (before PHP came on the scene) and Bill's tunes are even better.

The website says custom calibrations included in the price of the tuner.
I thought it was 50 bucks a tune?

The $50 a tune was when he was allowed to tune the Edge, which is what I have. He sold me 2 custom tunes for $50 each. About the first of the year, he made an agreement with Edge that he would no longer sell custom tunes for the Edge as this put them at risk with CARB(govt). The price of the Gryphon does include 3 custom tunes of your choice whenever you are ready. You need to call Bill and discuss what you want to achieve. He and Cory are fantastic to work with.

Edge Evo

I purchased the Edge Evo from Four Wheel Parts for $359.00. I have it on stage 2 and could not believe the difference it made in my truck... also gained a full 2 MPG with it.

Just be sure to adjust for tire size and gear ratio so the MPG numbers will be accurate..

I imagine that was before Edge stated enforcing thier retail price and before the price increase. I paid $335 from www.discountpowerparts.com. But that was 2 years ago. Knowing what I know about tuners, were I buying one now, I would not hesiate to buy the Gryphon at it's going price. I want the gauges and the custom tunes it offers. If i did not want the gauges, i would go with the XCal2 from VMP.

Yes i did adjust for tire size, thats one of the main reasons i got it, the truck was purchased new as is except for the EDGE, from the dealership but they said they didnt adjust for tire size unless they put 35's on it since it was a very small difference. I bought the Edge at the Four Wheel parts truck show in Dallas a couple of weeks ago. They were selling them for $359.00 there.

Hell, it's so far to drive out there with gas so high!

I'm just south of Ft. Worth.

I got my edge a couple of years ago for $325, IIRC.

I'm running the Gryphon(Edge) canned tunes on my 05 with true dual flows and gutted cats and it runs fine so I would think it would be ok on yours too.
