The Edge is good but give Bill a call over at PHP. He will hook you up.

I have a question about the Hypertech: Does it allow you to make adjustments for tire size? I didn’t see any mention of it on the site. Thanks.

The shifting has firmed up a lot too! The installation was simple and so far I don't have any complaints with this programmer other than the fact I can't keep my foot out of the throttle now!
How was the mileage? Could you tell if there were any improvements? I got a hypertech power programmer III for $169. Liked the shifting but have not had a chance to check the mileage.

I averaged 16.79 mpg on my first tank with the programmer hooked up that's a mix of 50/50 city and highway driving and it was also during test and tune with the programmer! My best mpg without the programmer was 17.4 mpg with a 50/50 city and highway driving and that was driving as light footed as possible!

That seems a bit high for canned tunes. I just purchase an Xcal-3 sct tuner with 3 custom tunes for $390 canadian.......sooooo much better than the superchips max tuner I had before.

Get some custom tunes and you'll be saying the exact same thing about the custom tunes vs the canned tunes of the Xcal3.

Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't custom tunes designed for only one truck? That's one reason why i'm not getting custom tunes is cause I wanna be able to sell the programmer when I decide to sell my truck.

The Xcal does comes with canned tunes as well as a custom tune specific to your calibration code, mods, and so on.....mine has an 87 and 91 octane custom tune specific to what i have done to my truck.

Yes custom tunes are for your specific PCM code. However if you've got an Xcal2 and you buy another Ford vehicle. All you'd have to do is return the programmer to stock and buy a new tune for $50 and your brand new vehicle will be tuned !!
