What kind of condition is your battery in??
you might contact edge customer service and see what they think,
There may have been a problem in the program that didnt surface until the truck got used to the new programming.

Just a thought

Check the battery and ground; a weak battery or bad ground can cause problems

My truck did this 3 times in 2 days about 2-3 month's ago. I had the same symptoms you described, the truck did'nt die though it was just idleing normal and the gas pedal was non-responsive. I pulled over and before I even shut the truck off I ran the diagnostics with my Edge. I want to say it pulled a p0141 code. the description was "IAC STUCK OPEN, LIMITED THROTTLE". I wrote the code down somewhere when I find it I'll let you know for sure.
