ive said this b4. im not tryin to have a fast truck, just a powerfull one.

that being said. i just bought something for the fast loving part of me, the 2008 Bullitt mustang. that thing is a fast little car. so according to the website the thing does it in 5 flat, im not sure but the drag strip is 30 minutes from my house so i will let you know. i test drove the one there but someone put money on it after i test drove it, so they ordered one for me. i cant frieken wait. "leased" the f1 to my brother for a down payment. then in the summer i get it back when i buy it back.

If you can hook you should be able to run high 8's and low 9's in the 1/8 and mid to high 13's in the 1320. I would like to drive a new bullit, my cousin had a '01, it was pretty sweet but nothing special. Well good luck with the new toy.

yea alot of these guys are going by the edge times and i wouldnt believe them take them to the strip lastnight on a custom tuned level 2 i did 8.7 in 0-60 and 16.5 in 1/4 mile and thats what level 2 a cheap cai and 5.4l with 3.55 gears in a 01 supercrew 2wd

if i had 4.11's or more and exhaust and on level 3 i am sure i would be around 8.2 or maybe in the 7's and in the quarter mile i would def be in the high 15's low 16's because level 3 will give me another 10hp and 15ft torque and exhaust would all a lil and gears would add alot

isnt a bone stock 2003 f150 4door 4wd 5.4l with 3.73's faster than a 04 new style with the same engine and truck and gears

joshmac4.6, the new bullitt is supposed to have 340hp, thats what they told me, more than the GTs 300. i drove it and loved it, real quick, of course i am usually driving an old 98 4.6...that is not as fast as yours

From everything Ive put together, these Edges are pretty much worthless when it comes to any realistic numbers.

I swear everyone with an Edge is running 15s no matter what configuration of truck they have, and 0-60s in the mid to low 7s, hell even 6s???? Come on, do some of you guys really believe this?? These are 3 ton trucks with 32 inch tires...and one hell of a driveline loss.

My truck is custom tuned, custom Maggy exhaust, 3.73s, and has a 3.5 inch AF1...PLUS is a regular cab, lighter than most other peoples screws and scabs, no? Well, If my truck ran what some of you guys think your running in your stock screws or scabs with just an edge and maybe exhaust, I would SHAT myself.
I know its not to most accurate either, but running 0-60s through my XcalII and laptop Im only pulling off 7.7s or so, and quarter mile, if I pulled of a 15.5 that some of you guys claim to be running with heavier trucks and less mods, I would probably fall over dead.

You cant beleive everything you see. I think the Edges quarter mile and 0-60 feature is giving quite a few people a false sense of 'fastness'...

False sense of fastness Nah, I have come to realize my truck is slow at the dragstrip, but not on the street Despite running high 10's @64 mph at the strip, on the street its much faster I mean 7.55 0-60 is a pretty respectable time for a 220 BHP 5800+lb truck, I only wish it would perform on the strip like it does the street

Im talking about people who have never actually gotten REAL numbers like you, and who actually are thinking their trucks are rocketships...

i admitted that the edge was off....i ran 16.37 1/4 mile at the track and the edge was saying 15.7 15.9 but i do believe it wouldnt be to hard to get the heavy screw in the high 15s with a few mods....shaving 4-5 tenths is not impossible...and when i ran i had me and my wife in the truck...lol...next time shes gettn the boot while i run

Unless your wife is hefty lady you will not be affected, these are V8's we drive, and yours makes over 300 ft lbs to the wheels, they are not Honda civic's , My fastest run a few weeks back I had 2 ladies riding shotgun, so a couple few lbs doesn't hurt. If you are really weight concious and are shooting for 15's, go almost out of fuel, but what I get from the way you think, you prolly already do that

That's a 155 lb difference. How does that work out?

Ok so I put the GPS in the truck to see how far the speedo was off, and the edge and GPS were within .2mph of each other, so I ran another 0-60 run, it did 9.45, that seems a little more accurate than the 7.55 it ran the other day, but still doesn't compare to the 11.0+ at 63 mph in the 1/8, this thing really makes you think you've got a speed demon, until that little Prius comes flying by.
