Take me for instance: I'm not a fan of Troyer. Far from it actually. I have my reasons, though, I'm certain they'd sound trivial to some.
However, the difference between myself and you is that I wouldn't bag him to the extent that you have pursued in this thread.... especially given all the relevant and, more importantly, irrelevant facts you've provided. Why? Because not only is it unprofessional, but given your specific cirumstances, and the descriptive piece you forwarded in the original opening thread, it makes you look the ****-clown. Big time! I let you figure out cryptic message I'm sending....
However, in saying all that, I do feel for you and do understand where you're coming from. But c'mon, let's call a spade a spade here, okay? You've been given some astute advice by many here up until this point on how to reslove this in a mature and cordial way, yet you clearly ignore them page after page and prefer to continue with you "bashful" ways.
What is this achieving?

i appreciate your honest and MATURE response. BUT, i have been very mature and cordial for the last month. all that has got me was ignored but mike and everyone at troyer. up until this point i have been VERY nice and mature about this, but getting the runaround for a MONTH has me a little on edge. wouldn’t you be a little pissed if you were in my situation? they have offered NOOO solution. at all. it seems all i have to do is make one post and mike calls me back with some BS excuse to why he could not return my call.

was trying to point out the thread rant was influenced by the beer
my bad
I had issues with my livewire when I got it. I couldn't load my custom tunes at all. When I called Troyer and spoke to Anita, she called SCT for me and they worked it out and found the fix with minimal involvement from me. Both Troyer and SCT will work with you if you approach it the right way. It seems you've already burned the Troyer bridge. Do what's been suggested to you 20 times already. Call SCT. If they can't fix the problem for you over the phone they will tell you send it in and they will repair or replace it. Here's the address again since you didn't catch it the first time. http://www.sctflash.com
There is the phone number and address.

what is so hard to understand, a company should support a product that they sell??? you buy a cell phone from verizon that is a LG, who would you take it to if you had problems? Verizon.
i have been calling SCT and no one answers. spent 15+ minutes on hold waiting for a "rep".

By the way, work on your grammar, spelling and punctuation.
We might take you more serious!

if you read the packaging on most of the items used as examples. Somewhere in the fine print you will find a statement similar to this.
Should you experience difficulties with you product, DO NOT return it to the retailer, instead, please contact (insert manufacturer here) customer support at 1-800-555-1212.
I'm pretty sure that if you read the documentation that came with the xcal you'll find something similar to that in it. Probably at the end of the troubleshooting section.
It's nice that some retailers have the return policy but, in the end, it's not their responsibility.

you’re really a piece of work Kevin, you really must be special. picking on everyone. i hope it makes you sleep well at night. how about if you don’t have anything to contribute (constructively) to this thread why don’t you leave? i am sure it’s in the forum rules somewhere about hijacking someone’s thread for not apparent reason.

I understand that you have had problems and you think it is with Troyer. I don't know why you have not received the type of customer service you expect. Here are two examples of recent customer service with Troyer and SCT:

I guess it's time to get this thread on track.

Man I feel bad for you I do I know that stuff can frustrating beyond belief. On here you just have to be careful the way you got about things. Im not trying to lecture you cause your a grown man but nobody would take kindly to someone critisizing them so harshly on the place where they conduct a great deal of their businees and how they make their livelihood. I have nothing but great experiences wit troyer but have alleignce to them if there is something better ou there.. When I was at mikes shop and a guy called with a problem (which was due to user error) cystal helped them although it was a technical device question and since mike was working on my truck for the technical questions she provided them with the number to sct which I guess is there std opertaing procedure. SCT is known for their customer service so I guess you are just having some really bad luck!!!!! I hope you get everything resolved. I mean this isnt nearly as bad as what some dealers have done to the customers that bought 40k trucks. You know they dont always tell you the stuff that will void the warranty such as changing gears could void your drivetrain warranty (tuning under 32 degrees) but it your job to research thats stuff as a consumer to know what are the consequences before you mod your vehicle. Just a thought. Godd luck with everything
