Yes they are good. Good enough for me to go back many times.

Another member has with a F150 has reported better 0-60 and 1/4 miles with a VMP Tune over Troyer's tune as well as great drivability. I'm having a little bit of a brain fart but his truck is a red scab FX4, I think.

I would not go there. Did it once. Never again. I'll buy canned tunes first.

Gotts2BMe, I distinctly remember someone not long ago whos comp crapped out after trying that. It was a dealer reflash, but a different code just the same.

The only way that it would make a significant difference is if he was full bolt on on his last truck. I have a good friend who writes custom tunes locally and he wouldn't hesitate for a second to do it. so I guess openclass is right..... some people shouldn't give advice
Umm...YEAH.

The 04-06 PCMs are the same. 07-08 PCMs are completely different.

What I really meant is firmware for the X-Cal2. It needs to be upgraded to work with 07 and newer. Sorry for the confusion.

If you're going to post something like this why not tell us why?

I've had NUMEROUS tunes from Justin and they've ALL been MUCH better than anything else I've tried.

That's a common misconception. Justin worked for SCT, he wrote the tunes for everything as well as other people. He knows how to tune them. I had him tune my 2006 F150 and it was perfect. Driveability was increased immensely from the Edge, power, and gas mileage.

Sorry. OK, I know there's no magic cure all for these things, but I got a KN and exhaust. Then went to him for tuning. My mileage tune gets me 14.7 on the highway. My 93 perf tune drives the same as the mileage but eats gas twice as fast. Just not worth the money.

It could be the winter blend of fuel.

If it wasn't november in East Texas when it did that I might go with that. I'd still expect something more from the performance tune.
