He is on this page to make money so he should flaunt his product and business name as much as possible.
From what I hear he has a great product.
I just won't buy from him because of the very unprofessional posts I have seen from him. No business person should attack a consumer or possible consumer in a public forum. It's bad business.

This site is populated who really don't know that and than there are others who choose to keep their heads in the sand about it.
I dont think its so much that people dont know about other tuners, I see VMP, Bama, etc thrown around on here about as much as Troyer, but like you said, its all about choices and what YOU want.
I looked into Bama and VMP, but in the end I went with Troyer. Why? 15+ years of experience on the F150 platform. Sure there are other tuners that have tuned for over 15 years, but how many that specialize on the F150? They might specialize in Mustangs, but Im not tuning a Mustang, Im tuning an F150.
A 1 hr. phone call with Mike will net you more knowledge about an F150 than you can cram into your head. This man knows every nook and crany, and what can and cant be done, and the correct way to do it, the secrets, etc with these trucks. Not saying somone like VMP or Bama might not know that, but its just the reputation and experience thing kicking back in here.
There is probably a reason that when you call SCT and mention anything that sounds close to F150, they say Mike Troyer.
Its kind of like buying a new truck. You could go with some one like Ford, who has been in the game forever and pretty much has it down to a T, or you could go buy something like a Tundra. A new player that may or may not have some kinks to work out, isnt as experienced in the full sized truck category, and will take a little bit of time to build up a reputation and experience.
What would you rather have?
Thats how I see it, and why I went with Troyer.
And Ill stay with Troyer until, in my opinion, I see Bama and VMP stepping up in the game with some more experience on the F150 platform and earning some more reputation with the F150 crowd.
Tuning is not a 'one size fits all' type deal.
from what i understand justin worked for sct. that in itself should speak volumes. man it all started out as an informational post. then he was attacked and fasle claims were made against him. i can tell you that i have been in the tuning arena with the gm's and hp tuners. still tinker with them today. havent jumped in the ford yet but i know people that have. and they are doing ok.yes 15 years experience is a long time and would make anyone want to go with them. i have had troyers tunes and vmp's tunes.and i can honestly say i like vmp tuning better. yes there are people that can figure it out and they will. but. just cause he has 15 years experience does in no way make him the very best. and it does not facilitate that there isnt someone that cant do it better. and he does tune more than just f150's as well. i thought that what iridesuzuki posted was very informative. and i even had questions on it. then it has turned into a bashing all started by the one and only--troyer. and the fact that they will not let vmp as a sponser means that there will not be competition. i believe that there should be tuning competition on this site as it will create better tuning and pricing for all of the consumers. hell if it werent for competition we wouldnt have sports.

A little competition not only makes it better for the consumer, but also the vendor since they are constantly being pushed to set the bar even higher.
