HAHA!! By no power I mean that I can put the pedal to the floor and get about 3500 RPM. The reason I am using LVL 1 is because it's winter here now.. -40 today!

Maybe I should clear things up!

Today I came home from work. My roommate needed a boost, so I helped him out as my truck was running already because its cold - 40. So I boosted him that was fine. My Edge was on stock mode so I changed it to Level 1. When the Edge was writing or gathering info, I am not too sure which one it was it took a long time to load and going 32% 33% 45% 47% and so on. it took about a 2 minutes to program, usually doesn't take that long. After it was programmed I took it for a little drive and had no power what so ever in fact it almost died on the way back home. When I push the pedal to the floor it goes to about 3500rpm and when I take it off it goes to about 500rpm (which is normal) but it shakes the truck when it is idling. It is now on stock mode and it goes into the shop tomorrow. Is there anyway they can tell I programmed it, my truck is a lease..

My poor programer lol. You can leave it on lvl 2 but I would remove the unit so you dont mess up the lcd. If you are still having problems in all settings its not your programer.

LOL yeah I know, it didn't get that cold until this weekend! I was wondering if maybe the communication got messed up somewhere due to it taking so long to gather the info?

So I checked the diagnostics and it says "P060<" is unknown. I looked it up on Google and apparently its a PCM error.

I would say its probably the cold. Return to stock and try to program it in a garage.

I returned the truck to stock and the problem is still there. I have never had this problem before. The thing is that the idle and everything was fine before. I am starting to think that the problem isn't with the programmer but maybe some information did not get loaded. If my truck is under warranty and remove the edge and bring it in, can they tell it has been changed?

Put it back to stock and remove everything, Edge, Pod, Cable. Then take it to Ford if you feel you need too. Let us know what they say the problem is. I dont honeslty think they will know the Edge was hooked up.

Ouch! I agree with you that the communications may have been snarfed up. I am willing to bet that it was the cold that caused the problem, although I can't say for certain why.

Call Edge and have tech support walk you through the procedure to recover a PCM. (801) 476-3343. That should at least get you back to stock and running correctly.

If you PM me your number, I can have someone get back with you directly.

Bill

Yeah I dunno why I did it. My truck was running for 10 minutes before I even tried, but I bet the Edge was still frozen..

So I started my truck and now my Engine light is on as well as the wrench light. What if I un-hook the battery for a bit, will the computer get reset with the original settings?

So I found this on the internet and it sounds like its my problem.
In another instance, an F150 came in with a forced idle and limited RPM condition. The wrench light was illuminated. The engine was not responsive at all to the throttle pedal. The throttle plate was defaulted to the 8 degree setting. When the vehicle was not in motion, the PCM would induce a misfire to bring the RPMs down to idle speed. Then, when in motion, the PCM would stop inducing the misfire to provide a high-idle condition which would provide a top speed of around 30mph.

Error Code P060< the "<" must stand for a or b
