I do like to throw out VMP Tuning out because he's one of the best tuners around. Everyone wants options and he's simply one of the better options by a long shot. I'm sorry that you didn't like Justin's customer service, I tried to talk to you via PM but your box was full so maybe send me another one and explain everything. But, on the other hand you're the only one whos reported something like this about Justin and VMP Tuning. Many recieve emails back within a hour or two, which I'd say is damn good customer service. I wasn't even able to talk to Mike Troyer after calling twice and leaving messages for him. It's hit or miss, I guess but like I said shoot me a PM.

That's on the 87 perf... I'm still trying to run the tank dry so I can fill up with 93 and get to the 93 perf... LOL...

I really would say to just take a half hour to get out onto the highway.. just a short ride and I swear you're gonna say "whoa!!".. LOL

The passing ability alone is nothing like I ever thought my truck could do, even after I put the AF1 on which did make a difference... but nothing like this tune.. It's not even that it "jumps" at those speeds, it just GOES.. and very quickly!!.. LOL..

Jeremy,

Just curious if you are talking about the "50 MPH shudder" that people have been experiencing? There's a new update that seems to have that issue resolved. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=305376

Also, there is custom tuning available for the Evolution now. Since you have already ordered your stuff from Troyer I guess it's all academic at this point, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Take care and good luck.

Bill

Went ahead and bought a used Edge from the F150 Online classifieds today, excited to recieve it.

Is there anything I need to do to...."Clean it up" before going to my truck?

Dont want to screw anything up on my truck

Just make sure yu have all the latest updates applied. Download and istall the Lightning software from Edge's website, connect the unit to your USB port, and the run the software. Go to the Updates menu, select the latest firmware and calibrtion updates, and then apply. Once completed, the unit should be the same as a "new" unit and you should be good to go.

Enjoy!

Hey Bill,

Is there some where you can go to see the latest update versions for the edge other than having to return the truck to stock and connect your edge to the computer and run the lightening software only to find out your already up to date?

Thanks .

I'll get them posted on the website as soon as I get back to the office next week.

As of 11/05/2007 the current versions are as follows:
Evolution 2 (no extra plug on the OBDII connector)
EEF2100 - Firmware - 07, Calibration - 08 (ie. E3.7.8)
EEF2400 - Firmware - 22, Calibration - 28 (ie. E3.22.28)

Evolution 2.5 (extra plug on the OBDII connector)
EEF2100 - Firmware -2.50.2896 , Calibration - 1.0.2899 (This will be updated soon)
EEF2400 - Firmware - 2.50.3657, Calibration - 1.0.3839

In case some of you don't know, you can check what version you have in your Evolutions by going to the Diagnostics menu and selecting Version Info.

Take Care.

Bill
Hope this helps.

Lol I went for a ride in a 06 F150 with a Troyer tune 2 weeks ago. The guy had a 87 performance tune. This truck pulls nice all the way from a stop to the top end. I cant wait to try the 93 performance tune. I still have 3-5 weeks to go. I faxed everything over Sept. 27. I do still miss my Edge lol. Whats sad is that im use to my stock tune now
