I agree totally. never seen anything like it, really. I have never had a problem with my Edge, but for those that are, you are doing some great things.

I don't see how anyone could give you a cheap shot like that after you went out of your way to help. You no longer work for the company but you still give help to keep their less-than-knowledgable team affloat. You went beyond the call of duty in helping me and I am most appreciative of that. Besides, it was only 2 days for you to get back to me with a response.

No, no, no....

Uh - ASE, Slim & BJ ...

You guys completely (and surprisingly!) missed my point - I was laughing at the fact that Bill was advocating and appreciating patience, while he identified the issue, created a fix and got it into the pipeline - ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS or so.

I was laughing WITH Bill, not AT Bill.

You just don't see this kind of superb responsiveness anymore. Ergo - it was a compliment.

Please don't tell me that the appreciation of irony is a lost art too?

Apologies to all I inadvertently offended.

That is what I thought, actually.

ASE, I've got no dog in this, but for you to come on here and try to assist with problems, concerns, and questions about he Edge is very commendable. Shows good character.

And remember, "****" ain't his real name.

Dude,

I think your post was more on the order of sarcasm as opposed to irony, but I (now) certainly understand the spirit in which it was intended. I am sorry if I was brusque. I took it completely in the other direction and guess I over-reacted. Lack of sleep will certainly do that to you!

Thanks to all you guys. It is nice to know that my efforts are greatly appreciated and I will continue to do my best to get everyone squared away.

With that said, I think I have the 2001 Tire Size problem resolved. If anyone was having a problem, please update and let me know if everything is working correctly. I, unfortunately, do not have any units that I can test with so I will need a brave soul to confirm for me. Any takers?

I'll check back later.

Bill

Hey Bill,

I posted in the other thread,

At level 2 with just a tire size change the truck idles at 2100 rpm's and revs up and back down to 2100 rpm on its own. I set it back to stock, then tried updates on line and they did not work either. Any suggestions !!

Thanks
Troy

Troy,

Just wanted to let you know I haven't forgot about you. I will be taking a look tonight and see what I can find on your issue. If you have time tomorrow, give me a call so I can see about grabbing the files from your Evo and locating the problem. It's easier than trying to recreate the problem here.

Slim,

Nice to hear from you today. Glad you finally got your code updated and your Evo working. I am sorry it took so long. Enjoy!

Take care.

Bill
