I wouldn't agree with the best. I am still kind of disappointed in my tunes. It has a stupid shift when just cruising at slow speeds, he wouldn't take out the rear oxygen sensor so I could run long tubes without the MIL eliminators and he never even took out my governern even though I specifically asked him too as well he said he would... I also waited about 14 weeks to get them to my door, but i live in Canada and it took a week to get to me but he is not all he is cracked up to be. I would seriously consider Bamachips and talk to Doug there. I am kind of a picky guy when it comes to tunes and Doug exceeded my expectations while Mike kind of let me down even with all the hype that you guys on here have given him.

Gotts, sorry your not happy with your tunes!! Have you tried talking to Mike?? I though he got rid of the speed limiter on all of his vehicles?? I never asked and mine is gone.
I had a run in with a Hummer H2 the other day. we had a little race He was glued to my bumper till 100 but after that i put about 1/4 mile on him. My truck goes faster than i care to take it with 35's

If i had probs with my tunes i would have let you know!!

Agreed. I knew it would take a long time to get my Troyer stuff before I ordered it so no sense in complaining. Hell, most days I forgot I even ordered it and it's been almost a month since I faxed the sheets.

I'm still patiently waiting.

Now, come mid November my patience might start to wear thin.

Ohhhh man... I can't wait!! LOL

Let me ask a couple questions about the shipping.. I know they use UPS, do they send it overnight or is like the 3 day?

Also, do they send it where a signature is required or will they leave it on the porch?

I just hate like hell going to the UPS station here, it's as bad as the post office... LOL

im not sure about that. i had the unit ssipped before hand to read the strategy on my computer. but i am guessing it is standard ground.

reguardless when you get it, it is well worth the wait. hopefully you will get it tomorrow. i want to see if your reaction is like mine.

you ever had a tuner before?

Never had a tuner.. And I'm like you, I thought for an almost 6,000 lb truck the performance not too bad.. I just thought it could be a little better, that there was room there that Ford leaves open because they have to please such a wide range of buyers..

And yeah, I'm doing what mods I intend to do in small steps.. Hell, this may be the last performance mod I do, maybe not.. LOL

I talked with Doug a few time already phone and email. I am probably going to have him do my tunes. I called and spoke with Justin at VMP as well. Both have good lead time but Doug said he would retune my truck for any bolt on mods for free. Justin said he would but only for 6 months. After that I would have to pay for the tunes again. I haven't done any mods yet and I don't know how soon that will be but it's nice to know I won't have to pay for it again.

I'm having a problem getting in contact with Bob Jusnes. His site wasn't taking any orders and my email got kicked back to me saying his site was down. It looks like it's back up so I emailed him two more times but still no response. There is no phone number on his site, anyone here got it?

White - after reading Ski's reviews, and having to decide between only those two, I would probably choose VMP over Bama ... ( This is, of couse, if TP was not in the running ).

Tune quality and the tuning person's experience on the platform in question, track record and customer satisfaction should be the first and formemost of your criteria.

Everything else - like lead time, retuning fees, etc, are, to me, secondary.

For myself - I'll take safe & sustainable tuning any day.

Just IMHO, okay?

What's the difference between these two? I don't know anything about VMP other than Thumper having his truck done by them and then a few member after him on here. The free retunes from Bama wasn't the main reason but it is a nice added bonus. I really don't know anything about either one them but I have read good post about Bama on Fordtrucks. That was the reason I was steering towards them. I'll take all the help and opinions I can get. Thanks

Hi.

Like I said - check out Ski's threads - hopefully he will also chime in once he gets off the weapons range !

No offense to Bama/Doug, but I believe VMP is just more proficient and experienced, at least in terms of F150's (and of course 'Stangs lol!). Have you seen Justin's postings on the SCT forum - some real good reading there, and it gives you some additional and valuable insight on the fella and his capabilities.

Good luck.
