i just bought a JLT cold air intake, and i got a SCT XCAL2 for my 06 f150 5.4L, and i want custom tunes!!! alot of ppl say Troyer, some same Bamachips, and are than any others ? survey time.. plz ?

who is bamachips? Never heard of them. I would go Troyer!

I would stick with troyer. Have heard nothing but great things from them and i will be getting them as soon as i get mine where i can use a tune.

 

I have posted on this before. My top choices would be.

1. Troyer= Great Performance and Awesome customer service.
2. Brenspeed= Tune was sent within 5-7 days. good performance. I found
Troyers tune had better acceleration, and performance. If
I didn't have a troyer tune or knew about troyers tune
Then I would have Brenspeed.
3. Justin from VMP= Took a while for him to send me a working tune. The too
was okay nothing crazy. Had a slight hesitation
4. Innovated Diesel= The only reason I'm rating him 4th, was he couldn't get
a tune without throwing a cel light on the AF1. His
tune was totally awesome, great acceleration and
performance, probably just as good as troyer, but
it kept throwing lean condition with AF1. He did supply
a working tune with JLT intake, but it wasn't as good
as the one for AF1.
5.BamaChips= Took forever to get a working tune. I think I eventually gave
up on them. The tune wouldn't shift properly into overdrive.

These are the tunes I have experienced with. The only reason I tried the other tunes, was because I wanted to see for myself just how good one tuner is over the other. Troyer stands above them all. Eric at Innovated Diesel's tune was very, very comparable to troyers tune.(I'll let Mike comment on it if he wants, there is a reason for it being comparable.)

Doug with Bamachips is like the Mike Troyer with F150's. It's just another XcalII tuner specialist.

Edit: And why doesn't Troyer get into Mustangs? There is a bigger performance oriented audience then F150's. Isn't the 4.6L in the Mustang the same as the F150?

He does do 'stangs. Several have posted that they had thiers done here, with terrific results.

In fact he has a Cobra that will "take your breath away" ! LOL!

His stated specialty is F150's, but by no means is he limited to same.

But at the another forum I visit which is for mustangs, everybody loves this Doug guy and I don't see why Troyer can't share his love with those guys also. A little competition never hurts.

I have a JLT II CAI & Brenspeed 93 octane tune on my Mustang.

Very nice gains and no complaints!

I wouldn't hesitate to go with them for my trucks either.
