im new to this but im wondering what the best chip is for me i do landscaping i pull a trailer a few times a week and i also wouldnt mine making the truck a lil quicker for a lil fun. ive heard about the edge and how it comes with a towing setting i was wondering if that what i want, anyway give your advice thxs alot -mike also will it save my tranny and will it make my engine run to lean or anyhting

 

i have an edge and owuld turn back. OWke the truck right up. THis is how they should have come from the factory. You just have to ask one ?. Are you guna do anyhting major to the engine in the future or not. If not then the edge is great. If you are then the edge isn't for you. Its an awsome program. I tow a trailer on every weekend. It made it so much more easy to tow. Lots of torque.

 

alight cool thxs the only othere thing i may do in the future is headers but not for a whiele. Another question do you think that the edge will make my truck (engine and trani) last longer?

 

I dont think it will have any effect on that. Thats on how you drive it.

 

and how bout the mpg if my foot isnt on the floor

 

I saw about 1 MPG in town and about 2 on the highway. IF i can keep my foot out of it. If your this interested in a tuner i have an edge for sale in the classifieds.

 

do you thikn thats the tuner im best going with or are there otheres that are better?

 

the only one thats any better is the Xcal2 and thats becuase it can be costom tuned for anything you want to do to your truck in the future. Things like throttle bodys, cams, heads, ect, ect. THe edge is the only other tuner thatreally gets praise on here and it has things that the Xcal@ doesn't like guages.

 

how bout headers ?

 

The Edge will more than likely increase the life of your engine and tranny. I get better gas mileage now with the lift and Edge than i did before i lifted it.
