So i was on edge's website, and being that my truck is technically an 04, i clicked the 04-07 f150 programmer. So i started reading up and got real excited, then remembered my truck was the 03 body style. I clicked the 1997-2003 style truck, and the programmer is no where near as good.

So does this mean the 97-03 one is the one i have to get? or can i get the 04-07 programmer?

any help is appreciated. thanks

 

I believe you will need the 97-03 since your engine is the same as that model, not the 04+ model.

I would call Edge to find out, they are very helpful.

i really hope not, the 04 model programmer has about 15h+ hp more to gain than the 03. I'm not as sure I want one now

 

the 04+ one wont work on your rig. the trucks all have different engines, transmissions, and PCMs. sorry man. but there are a lot of people on here with 97-03 trucks who have that edge and still love it, it still adds a ton to your truck.

 

i have the 98 and i wouldn't trade it for anything. Really woke my truck right up. I would say if you have the money and want one. Go for it.
