installed superchips, now have problem

i have an 02 f150 4.6. i just installed my superchips today on the 87 octane program. i have not messed with the settings for shift points. when i am really getting in the gas, right before it shifts to 2nd, i get this loud screeching noise. i never heard this before i installed the superchips. Any ideas what this could be, and how to fix it, could it be serious? thanks!

Hi - this is where I'd normally ask you to use Search, but a certain pantyliner on here would just throw another hissy-fit. LOL.

So.... oldy... it's your accessory belt a'slippin'. Is it the original belt? If so, it needs changing anyway.

Go get a good belt -Goodyear Gatorback - and the screech will be gone.

Tuning / shift firmness changes cause the accessories to Delta V more abruptly - hence the squeal.

Hey! Maybe it's yer rear tires breakin' loose lol!

Cheers
Bubba
