It does the exact same thing that the original poster was having problems with. It doesn't recognize that the key IS turned on and it shuts itself off after about 20 seconds. I ended up just getting a refund from 4 wheel parts, they were really nice about everything. I tried calling Edge about 15 times but never got anybody on the phone, I updated the original unit with the their latest software but to no avail.

I would try WOT fuel to 1.6 Any less on my truck and I had some detonation at WOT. I wouldn't chance it. 1.6 seems to be a good buffer to protect the engine. To rich is WAY better than to lean.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I have a similar problem with my EDGE Evolution. I've had the programmer in the truck running on level 2 for about 4 years with no problems. Battery died and I installed a new one, jumped in and started the truck without even looking at the EDGE. Once truck was running I looked over and the EDGE was lit up but looked like a blank screen. Moving around a little to look at it at a sharp angle it had the "turn key to on position, do not start, wait while Edge initializes". This messages never clears and the Edge will not turn off, even if truck is turned off. Tried hooking to the Fusion software but it wont do anything as truck was not returned to stock tune. Truck is a 2004 super crew with the 5.4. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Edge Support will need to 'reach out and touch' yer device. AFAIK, no one here has that ability (save perhaps fer ol' Karl65 - try PM'ing him )

Call Edge Tech Support during normal business hours.

Contact info on their web site.

Thanks MGDfan. Had a call to Edge support on my list but was hoping maybe someone had run into this and knew another way to fix it. Will be calling them on Monday. At least the truck is running OK.
