Problem is, he can't do it until next week when he gets updated software for his diagnostics, so I geuss I'll just have to wait which really sucks!!! I don't blame Troyer for this, they just want to get it right which I completely understand and appreciate. Anyway, wanted this to go smoothly (and quickly haha), but I guess I'll have to be a little more patient with the whole process. Dammit!!!
sorry to hear about the delay but you want things to be right...my tunes should be getting closer and after reading about many of the problems others have with the edge I feel the two month wait will be well worth it.

will have the truck for 6-10 years so what is a few months

Angry Couldn't find damn gear ratio!!

Went looking for the gear ratio and couldn't find it. Code on the door was for a 150 1997 or older. Tag on rear didn't have ratio either. Finally called dealer, gave them the vin# and they gave me the gear ratio. Of coarse, they had me look every where first.

Hi Mitch150,

Hang on there, you won't have to wait any longer than normal just because we want to have your PCM strategy read.

The reason we ask for this on a lot of the 2004 & 2005 trucks is simply because so many of them have been reflashed (had their PCM's updated) by dealers or at the factory long before the original owner even took delivery, and if that happens, then we're tuning for the wrong code and the vehicle won't start - and then you;d REALLY be upset, as then we would have to make all new tunes all over again, which of course costs more as we have to do twice the work!!

So having the strategy read avoids this altogether, and does NOT add any additional time to getting your tunes, your order stays in line based on the time that you got your custom program worksheets back to us.

Thanks Mike! Crystal told me there wouldn't be any delay (which I posted on the 15th) because of the strategy code, and I completely understand the need for the right code so please don't think I'm angry! I'm not. I would prefer you get it right the first time as well, since what I read here in the forums that the tune is worth the wait! Thank you again, I really appreciate the post!

Mike's tunes are awesome! Installed 89 performance a week ago, still can't wipe the grin off my face. The truck shifts great, went with TP's suggested firmness. I'm going to run my tank out and then load the 93 performance tune, can't wait!

Well yesterday was a waiting day and of course UPS is later than usual but tunes showed up about 4:45...

So I decide to install 87 performance before I head home, read Troyer paperwork and I have to say the install is simple I had everything done by 5:05 and was on the road.

Unfortunately, I could not take a long drive as we had people coming for a BBQ. So took a slightly longer route which took me on the freeway and city streets...

Have to say the acceleration and shifting were awesome and i realize the truck still has to learn the strategy but I can see and feel it is much better. This evening I will be heading for a road trip to the mountains and can't wait to see how well the mountain driving will be with all the on and off the gas around the curves.

Before you all ask why I didn't load the 91 performance I wanted to try a tank at this level first so I didn't spoil myself with the top tune and feel disappointed going backwords to this level.

will keep you informed!

Thanks Mike

What a tease!!

Just an update, got the X call ll in the mail (blank) just to do strategy read on my pcm. I'm sending it back to T.P. tommorow to have them load the tunes for me because I'm having computer issues. I can't download anything from Troyer so I can't install the tunes myself(sucks), but man what a tease for me, I don't want to send it back!!
