XCal II just ordered. Increase my anticipation!

The short of it.

2002, 2wd, 5.4, 3.55 LS, ext. cab.

I ordered the 87 tow, 87 performance, and 91 performance.
I am amazed at how thorough the order sheets are for their tunes. Crystal took the time to answer all of my questions about the tune and steps to take to prepare the truck for the tune.

Now I need the input from the guys that have the Troyer tunes. Do the tunes really make bif of a difference? What i am lookng for out of my truck is more top end pull. I feel that the truck has some good dig out of the hole with the grunt of the 5.4 and the gears in the back. I would like for it to really move all the way up to red line in every gear. Is this possible without major power adders?

Jesus are there ever people waiting for these tunes but she still hasn't emailed me the sheet that she has asked me to fill out to complete my order. She was supposed to email it to me yesterday. I gues I'll give them a call again tomorrow.

I would call since they really do get them out right away...maybe it was spam filtered and needs to be re-sent

Trust me, you will feel the difference in your truck. When I installed mine and took it out for the first time I couldn't believe the difference in the throttle response. Push the gas pedal and the truck actually moves rather than slugging it's way to a passing speed. While I was on vacation I gave it a ggod push to see what it really could do and I was up to 110 mph before I knew it and then the wife said that was plenty fast enough.

Right now it is running about 6 weeks as of today - what really counts is the number of business days between when we get the properly completed CPW's to the time we have the tunes completed and they are ready to either be shipped or emailed. And that is as of today about 6 weeks calender time, with some getting out sooner, and a few taking a bit longer due to them being far more involved, more info needed, being blower tunes that take far more time to do right in these returnless fuel system trucks, etc., etc.

Now that does vary based on how many orders come in on a given day, that is very true!! The reality is that the actual amount of time it takes to get our custom tunes literally varies from day to day - for example, on 4/24 we had almost 30 sets of CPW's come in on just on that one day alone. Well, NOBODY can do 3 different custom tunes on 30 different vehicles each (that's 90 tunes) in a day - or 2 days - or 3 days. And anyone who says they can or have has only turned out something I'd never want to use. Nobody can do the kind of quality in-depth tunes like we do for these trucks that give the results you see so many people here rave about.

Some days it's light and we'll see maybe 4-6 sets of CPW's come in, while other days 20-30 sets or more come in - so how long it takes literally depends on how many there are ahead of yours when your properly completed CPW's hit, as it's first in, first out.

There is one last factor that was a bit of an oddity, and is really what took us from about 4 weeks to, for a short time, about 8 weeks - and that was when Edge finally started enforcing their MAP pricing - when that happened, people realized they could get our custom tuning cheaper than the Edge's off the shelf tuning, and orders went thru the roof here!! We are almost thru working through that backlog, and thus will soon be able to get back to our more traditional times of about 3-4 weeks - soon, we hope, and we know you do, too - trust me, we hear you!!

One last thing - just for what it's worth - we know you all want your tunes as quickly as possible - I feel the same way, when I decide to plunk down my hard earned cash, I want things NOW!! So we know, we KNOW how you feel, trust me, and we can't thank you enough for your patience,we know it's not easy! This is why I work 7 days a week tuning on these vehicles - I usually get the most tuning work done on weekends when the phones aren't ringing - which means I don't get any days off - and my wife and I have never had one vacation in the 20 years we've been together, that is how hard we work.
And that's a crappy way to live, frankly, my wife deserves better - but she sticks by me because she is as committed to this as I am, and that is what it takes to do what we do.

We do the testing nobody else does - we do R&D on these trucks that nobody else has ever done - why do we know what all of the 26 intake kits on the market do? Because we TESTED them, something nobody else does - same with most of the other performance parts available for these trucks, that is our commitment to the art & science of F-150 performance.

It's all about giving you the best possible results, *that* is what we are most passionate about - and is why so many people rave about us - So yes, you'll see a few mouthing off from time to time about the time we take to do some things, but 98% of them call us to thank us afterward, and about half of them also come here to post to everyone else just how glad they were to have waited.

So we thank you for your patience - and we're working just as hard & fast as we can to get them out, my friends - in fact, this week about 38 more people are getting their tunes just in the next few days from what we got done over the past 4-5 days non-stop.

The things people trust us for are for getting the best tuning, getting the best advice on how to improve the performance of their vehicle, getting the best F-150 modifications available, and our customer service - those are the reasons people deal with us, because of our expertise and how we treat them - in that we are unbeatable.

I hope that provides a bit better understanding on this, and thanks to everyone for your patience!
