Unhappy Installed Edge, Won't start now??

I just installed my edge eef2000 and everything installed easy. I read the warning to remove the fuel pump fuse first and did so. Installed the performance level 3, changed the tire size, and said it was completed. Reinstalled the fuse, and went to start my truck and it wouldn't start? So now i don't know what to do, or what went wrong. My battery of course died on my. If anyone has had this problem or knows of what to check or fix i would appreciate the help on this one.

Try returning it to stock and see if it will start.

Not good. You need to call EDGE and get tech support to help you out. You may end up having to pay a dealership to reflash your PCM if EDGE can't get you going. Let us know how it works out. Good luck.

Did you check the fuel pump fuse? mabey it poped when you reinstalled it or mabey its not all the way in... Mabey the emergency fuel pump shut off kicked in look behind the kick panel on the passenger side. should be a red button.

Ive never seen one that goes up and down. Usually they pop out like a test/reset on an electric outlet

the button should be pushed in. theres a little slot on the side where you can stick a quarter to pop it out if you need to kill the fuel pressure.

is the truck turning over? exactly WHAT is it doing? autozone killed my pcm about a year ago, AND i have edge on my truck right now so lets see if i can help out some.

You let someone from autozone touch your truck? J/K man. 01crew, can you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn on the truck? Should be a clicking noise about 1-2 seconds after you turn on the key.

Did your battery die on you during the re-flash? ( you mentioned your batt died - or was that from cranking?).

If so, your PCM is probably corrupt now. You will need a dealer flash - unless the folks @ Edge can walk you thru the 'stock writing' process - and you have an intact stock tune saved in the unit.

Good luck.

i hope that's all it is and not a burnt unit. call either edge or the ford place and there is a sequency that they can walk you through to check to see if it's your pcm. it all has to do with the flashing "theft" light.

i sure as hell hope you don't have to have a completely new unit. i spent right at $900 total for a USED pcm and a new flash from ford.

you say it says to take the fuse out? ooops. must have missed that part. but hey! when you get it up and going you are going to love it!!!
