I hear on that. They say 5-6 weeks and then when the time comes, you call them and they say that they are backed up. Seems like they are always backed up, and should give a little more leeway than the normal 5-6 weeks, like 7-9 weeks

I had my sheets in on 21 Mar and got my tunes on 18 May, so pretty much the same wait time you have going on right now. I'd probably expect your tunes to come in anyday now.

I for one hope that NEW xcal purchases do merit some sense of urgency along with the orders for just "tunes". Afterall you have your units and probably have more tunes than necessary in your library (as if that were possible). Don't get me wrong I think that first come first serve is a fair system, but if it were my business I would be fair to new customers who dont even have anything at all by doing some of theirs along with orders for just tunes. Afterall if you get a ton of "tunes" ordered ahead of your new customers, they may not want to wait 60 or 90 days and go elsewhere...just speaking from the business side of things

What all do you need to fill out in these "data sheets" that you need to send back into Troyer?

Since yours came yesterday, mine should (hopefully) come today. I will be disappointed if they dont.

I beleive that most of us are waiting for our first tunes. THe Xcal came within a couple days, but the hard part is waiting for the tunes to get emailed to us
Its been 5 weeks going on six, so hopefully mine will be coming in shortly

I got them today!

I just finished loading the tunes into the Xcal 2 and am going outside to do my first flash. Since I already have 87 octane in the truck, I will have to load the 87 performance tune till I can get her filled up with 93. I will let you all know how things turn out.

call or email them and they will send an email to you with all the sheets you need to fill out for your order. then either scan and email them or fax them back to Troyer.

I have not ordered an XCal from him yet (down the road though). I am just curious what is all involved in one of these. Also, what does one cost?

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as you, just waiting on some $ to then go ahead and order.

If you go to www.troyerperformance.com and look in the programmers you'll find the Xcal II for about $460, three tunes included. BUT, they offer a discount for members of this forum, just tell them your screen name when you order. Not sure but I believe it's about 10%.

And just type Xcal II into the search thingy and you'll find HOURS of very informative comments, reviews, Q&A from Mike Troyer, etc.

I've always thought to myself, "okay, the tuner is the last mod!!".. LOL.. now I'm thinking swapping the 3:55's for 4:10's.. which will require new tunes.. It's no fooling that this mod bug is an insidious SOB..

Well, I phoned yesterday and I am getting very close. There is only one person to go before mine is up. I was told to expect them today! I'll let everyone know how things go. Here's looking forward to a fun weekend!
